When I was going for my veteran assault I found out several things. 1) The G3 is awesomely powerful but has a small clip. 2) Assault is a very difficult solo class, team work is essential. 3) Smoke is quite valuable.

Overall, once you get used to the nuances it is kinda fun class to play when surrounded with a good squad.

Yea, i agree with everybody this guy said. If you are using G3, go in a squad with a good support player, you will need it.

This kind of applies with any class, but it helps immensly to be a little sneaky. Use EVERYTHING, buildings, cars, people, crates, whatever, to make sure the enemy doesnt see you. The best path from point A to point B in Battlefield is NOT a straight line.

Also, remember that the player that starts shooting first, usually wins. If you can get the jump on someone and see them before they see you, you have an enormous advantage.

You are doin better than me when I started this game. instead of 5 for 10 I would be like 1 for 10 or 4 for 10.

When i first got the game i was getting 1 to 10 kills but after 2 days i was getting 5 to 10. The main class ime good at is the sniper class as i get arround 15 kills to 8 deaths from people coming up behind me. But most of the time you just get the urge to go and battle on the front lines. I know snipers do this but i need more of a challenge on the front lines.
Oh and Sir. Blades there will be people who are even worse than you ive saw a person with 13 deaths to 0 kills and he was a corpral.
Thx for all the tips and will definatly put them to good use.

BTW a newby question. How do u make them sigs at the bottom of the post with the pictures on?

Instead of rushing into the enemies "by the front"

why don't you try to go around them and shoot them from the back?

Even though assault is my favorite kit and I have Expert Assault, I have to say that the G3A3 and the F2000 are a little unstable. What I mean is that the guns seem to be inaccurate sometimes when you need accuracy. After the patches the G3A3 was tremendously helped in terms of accuracy and overall reliablity. But still its not as good as the other rifles UNLESS you have extensive training in it, like me! The F2000 is just crap though, to me.

Now the trick to being a good Assault player is 1) CQC is a real strong point with this class because you can take a little bit more damage then the medics and spec ops guys. And when you use the AK101-47 or G3A3 you will be able to kill with a head shot and they will destroy the competition. All you have to worry about is shotguns and PKM's.

Medium range is also a plus for assault. G3A3 and the AK's will shine like the sun in this range. Thier high power and ok ROF means it'll be easy to put 4 to 5 shots in any badguy. You still have to worry about PKM's but shotguns have nothing on you when you go prone. You really have to watch out for those evil medics with their G3666E, if you dont engage first you WILL be dead, unless they go into a spasm or something.

Long range is an avoidable way of fighting, so aviod it when possible.

Your M203's and GP30's can be extremely useful in the alley ways of karkand, aim for their feet in a non-noobish fashon and shoot. They should die or be severly hurt, that just means finish them with you handheld cannon. You only want to use these against infantry or FAVs, no point in wasting them on tanks.

The smoke grenades are really only useful if you trying to get away from an enemy, that's really it. I end up throwing these when I feel stealthy.

Now for how you can use this kit for teamwork purposes. Taking flags, thats it. It's not a very teamwork provoking kit and thats why I like it.

I am a LOT better now. I started in July 2005.
Anyway I saw a guy go 0 for 21! He wasnt idle cuz he was talking smack to me the whole time. He was on Chinese and I was in the JSF raping the living **** out of him at airfield (cant let those J10s get up can I?).

In long range encounters, try aiming for the chests and slowly moving uo their body. It only takes aout 4-5 shots, the last one hitting the head and finishing your opponent. Once you're comfy with this, try aiming for their head and going down. If you miss the head, a few shots will still hit the chest and do a lot of damage. I typically use the grenade launcher first, and if it doesn't kill, then I use the above strategy. Also, if you don't have much health left and you're under fire, throw a smoke grenade, it will take a few seconds to detonate, then sprint like hell towards cover. You'll need squad support to be successful as assault.
