Need help being assault

Hi ime new to battlefield and ime nearly at seargent. when i be a assault i always die about 10 time on a round and get at least 5 kills. So does anyone have any tips for me to make me a better player?
Yes i know the 1st thing and thats practice, practice and practice.
But just looking for some tips to help get better at it.

Take your time .., hunt.., dont race in, choose your targets..,use the maps cover to its full advantage, find an intelligent support guy :hmm:

The best tips you can have for playing assult probably applies to all players that aren't in a vehicle.

1) stick to being in a group. There is strength in numbers. Lone wolfs can sometimes take a flag, but with a smart commander and a team that listens to a commanders intelligence the lone wolf will never never never get close to taking a flag. Better yet, play in a squad and communicate.

2) Don't rush in. I am guilty of breaking this rule a lot. Your eager to proceed, but when you rush your will miss details like the guy hiding around a corner. You will rush ahead of your group, get too far ahead and you will be surrounded. This rule also applies to armour. Too many tank drivers think they are god and push ahead of infantry. Next thing they are a c4 sandwich.

3) listen for intellegence reports. Commanders pointing out stuff, UAV's, enemy UAV's above. The more you know the less you die.

4) Take smart shots. It's better to take a few accurate shots than to waste a magazine on sloppy shots.

The most important thing of all is play in a group. Play with a squad, not just join a squad (Wow, what a concept!). In a well rounded squad, if your wounded a medic will heal you, if your out of ammo you will get resupplyed, if you run into a tank the anti tank guy will do his best.

I have seen many a round with some excellent players one side that didn't play as a team end up loosing to another team of mediocre players who worked together.

I would go with a different class choice
It isnt that assault is praticularly bad its just that its not particularly good ex.and assault guy is just as likely to lose to a medic than kill a medic.

assault has no abillitys ex. heal, revive, c4, rocket, ammo, super high accuracy range, mines, ability to repair. All he has is a grenade launcher and realistically anything a gl can do a gun can do, ok mebe smoke but wtf is smoke good for???

I've had smoke save my ass quite a few times, for example, when you're MEC spawning at the hotel only to be raped by the APC and you get that rare second you are still aliv after spawning, chuck down a smoke and it pretty much blocks most of the view. I also use it to cover me crossing streets where I know there is enemy armour.

It isnt exactly the assault class. I class the special forces kit the assault class aswell becuz they have basically the same equitment as the assault class. Anyway ime getting close to seargent, i think ime just 10 points away and was wondering what special forces unlock should i get?
I mainly play as sniper (which i got all the unlock for that class ) and i play as special forces class but the defult gun just isnt powerfull enough to kill people unless i aim for the head or put a magazine on someone lol. So what unlock would u suggest for the special forces class?

The assault huh? The best way to get kills is to be off the ground. With that grenalde launcher, you have a pure advantage. Stay above the ground by using nearby stair cases, rooftops, balcony's, hills! The smoke grenade will definatly come to your advantage when capping flags! Just pop one down, and you're ready to cap it! As someone said, the G3 is the best unlock for that weapon!

Heh, I unlocked the F2000 because I thought it was a cool weapon. And it is, but it isn't as pwnsome as the G3. Comes with flashbangs, which is always a nice addition.

I love flashbanging teammates to get into choppers. I've only done it a few times because my crappy helicopter logic will turn our team into minced meat. :laugh:

You need to understand if you pull your trigger first you should win win the assault class. You are the hunter and you are going after prey with your mighty G3. Let players try and take you down with inferior guns, stand your ground and put some lead their way.

1st rule: Keep moving. The longer you stay in one position, the more chance you will be spotted by the enemy. If you do need to stop make sure you are well hidden.

2nd rule: Get in a team. Don't go rambo and get yourself killed. Stay close to team mates.

3rd rule: Switch between single shot and auto depending on how far your target is away from you.

4th rule: Try and predict where enemy soldiers might be. Use UAV and commander to your advantage.


5th rule: Have fun. This is just a game after all

None of the spec ops weapns are powerful enough for one shot headshot kills, neither is the M16 for medic or assault. Anyways, you only have one choice, you must unlock original vanilla unlock before you unlock the spec forces unlock, but seeing as you are becoming a sergeant, you will get two unlocks, anyways, G36C is UBER ACCURATE. It's the most d*mn sh*tty accurate automatic gun in the game, you can snipe with that thing, if you don't mind using ironsights, it's one of the best guns in the game, i don't care what G36E whores say, the G36C is better or equal in every single way in accuracy.
