I belong to a clan, but i play on public servers all the time, so in effect i am a pubber. I see nothing wrong with that.

some pubbers (not pubers ) are veterans, and definately capable of distributing lead to other not so experienced pubbers. So by definition if you play on pubs you are a so called pubber.

a 'pubber' is a term created by elitist clan idiots with delicate egos, and adequacy issues, they created this term reffering to people who play on public servers, instead of the term 'clan member' reffering to a member of a clan, they devised this term to reffer to everyone else (non clan members)

mostly 'pubber' has a negative, emphasis, because elitist clan nerds feel they are somehow exalted

Funny thing is, I enjoy playing with non-clan people because those are better attitude wise and are more fun to play with. As for generally being pwnz0rized around, agreed, but not nearly as much as some people on these forums (with their TWL and whatnot talks) make it seem.

To me a pubber is someone who just plays now and again. Isnt involved in any clan, community or bothers looking at forums like this unless they are trying to find some specific information.

ie, they dont really care about the game or the stuff that comes with it, they just like a game now and again on a random server they find on a search.

To me, unununium isnt a pubber because he is involved in the Bf2 community (by posting on a bf2 related forum)

That's what I call a random as in a random pubber. A Pubber can be a clan member or a member of a gaming community. Even if you play comps when clans play on public servers they are pubbing and can be classed as a pubber.
