How about 2apc+1tank stick together with ENGs in plus self-repair. ENGs in armour are powerful enough IMO. I agree that we should give something to ENGs. I'll say, make it twice or 3 times easier to gain points when they are repairing something.Originally posted by Eddy01741I said really slow, like half the speed it would take you to go out of vehicle and repair.Leave a comment:

I say leave the ammo bags, but nerf the first aid bags. And medic rifles.Leave a comment:

Well, on the medic issue, everyone knows that the real money is in the revive, not the bag.Leave a comment:

eng. are quite powerful in there own right anyway, i mean the bog standard PLA and US shotties are uber awesome, and have quite good accuracy.
as for the whole dont get alot of points for repairing things is in its own way quite good, i mean to get vet and expert engineer (repair) is one of the few hard to get awards, i mean the medals are easily acheivable now. the games been amde a bit too no0b friendlyLeave a comment:

Ya, I was an engy in 42 and it really ****ed me off how much they screwed over the class. Give them little drop crates that can repair (slowly) tanks, and up the points so you don't need to repair the whole thing to get one.Leave a comment:

They should give engy a little bit (just a little bit, and very slowly), a self repair thing for vehicles. Anyways, so how do they turn off the FF on servers comletely then?

I watched the Dice Video and I didn't hear anything about Nerfing the Medic/Support packs, not that I don't believe you, maybe I missed it. Though Colin did mention that the L85A1 is overpowered? Must be the weapon of choice for Dice/EA players, because how else would they know that?
IMO, just another step in the wrong direction for BF2. The problem is the whinning, not the game itself, if only Dice/EA could do something about that............LEAVE THE GAMEPLAY ALONE ALREADY - FIX THE BUGS/GLITCHES. WHERE IS THE HOTFIX FOR THE CTD/SERVER CRASHES
Edit: Not one person sitting in the audience(Dice Video) asked one question that required a unique response, Colin was able to tow the Party line while everyone looked on dumbfounded. Way to go, whoever you were sitting in the audience, double thumbs up for doing nothing!
EA/DICE = clueless

For a class that has a supporting role (repairing) it is next to impossible to get repair points... you are relegated to sitting in a vehicle hoping you repair your neighbor but come to find out that the guy druving your team's tank is a sniper and cant repair you.
Whats that? You spend 45 seconds repairing the UAV trailor?
Here, here's one lousy point.
Want to kill somebody? Here's a shotgun that you have to put in somebody's ear to kill them...
Lay down some mines... yeah, thats right... you have no idea how to dig holes to put mines in or otherwise camoflage them... just stick em in the road and hope the other vehicle drivers are blind.
Grats... you're an engineer... the worst class in the game.Leave a comment:

It's a server side option to have mines and claymores friendly fire, it's seperate from total friendly fire (the ability to blast teammates on top of buildings with c4).Originally posted by Eddy01741Oh yea, is no FF servers when they say Friendly Fire: 0, or 1? I hear if you do no friendly fire, you can C4 yourself up to rooftops that are usually not accessible.
Lol, and you forgot the best one of all.. sprint speed, oh you actually want to get from point A to B on foot!? good luck Mr. Turtle.Originally posted by Consultant01Engineer is much worse.

Engineer is much worse.Originally posted by TokenBritLOL, ok tell me which class is worse than assault. Everything assault can do some other class does is better. I play medic and frankly I dont give a crap if they do this because you know what, I will still have enough medic bags for me. Its you other characters who will feel the pain, not me.

I hear if you do no friendly fire, you can C4 yourself up to rooftops that are usually not accessible.Originally posted by OhTheHumanity420I think one thing we all need to step back and distinguish, myself included, is that a pack is only as good and honorable as the person using it. Medic packs aren't bad, but they can be abused, but so can any pack. Last night I was Commanding in Kark on a FF off server I freqnuent, this n00b on my own team uses a SpecOp pack to harrass me, since FF is off he can't just kill me so instead he plants C4 under me and blow me up. I fly in to the air and by the time I realize what's happened I'm street pizza. He continues to do this for two whole rounds. So do I think the SpecOps pack should be changed? No, I think his ability to play should be changed. (i.e. he should be banned)
I use the medic pack the right way, I heal and revive my teammates first, then I focus on fighting. The only place I'll "spam" is a high traffic area with a pack so that if one of my boys is rushing for the flag and gets hit he'll have a better chance of recovering.
That being said I see the potential problem, so I'm willing to comprimise:
- Make it so medics can heal themselves, but only by holding their medic bag and not by throwing it down and picking it up, make it so only teammates can do that now.
- Limit the packs to 2 at a time, but make the reload instant. This way I can spam one pack for my team in a key position and still have one for myself. If I need it I can throw it down for a teammate who's hurt near me and if I throw another down the first dissapears. Remember for medics who use the pack the right way the object of the game is to stay alive so they can heal to prevent their teammates from dying and subsequently revive them if they do. A dead medic is no good to anyone.
- I'm also willing to allow other classes such as AT and Assault to get more points because they can't get support ones. I personally think AT should get a lot more than 2 points for killing a tank/apc. Because a tank or APC can just decimate infantry. As for the "the tanker jumps out before his tank blows up" problem, it could be simply solved by making the critera a little creative. So make it to get the points the AT had to have A) already had some damage to the tank in question, B) the tanker had to have jumped out of the tank within 10 seconds before it blew.
But please try to remember, the problem isn't the pack it's the people using it. Any pack can be abused.Leave a comment:
