SAS Special Service Medal

hi guys it says in UBAR that i need 50hrs playing to get my SAS Special Service Medal,
now ive played 50hrs as ive already gotten my SAS ribbon which needs 50 hrs.
but i havent gotten my MEDAL an ive meet all the requirements.
is any body else having this problem?

Nooo, you got it all wrong.

The ribbon is for the SAS THEATER, meaning levels that have the SAS, but not necesarily using the SAS.

The Medal is for just using the SAS. Hope that clears things up.

yeah i been playing on SAS levels ghosttown an warlord only.
i set are server to these so i could get the medal:hmm:

some thing is defo messed up with it,
either that or the time required for the medal are wrong.
ive played 50hrs as sas on ghost town an warlord which are sas maps an im clear on the hrs required but still no medal

You're definitely messed up, it's 50 HOURS TIME PLAYED AS SAS as previously stated noobcake.

yeh check ur own stats, u'v only got 36 hours actually playing as the SAS

no please on ur stats page go over ur SAS medal and it will tell u you ahve played 34 hours.

like ppl have already stated you get the ribbon for playing in the MAP THEATER, so if you play ghost town as Spet u gain time for ur SAS ribbon and Spetz ribbon and spetz medal, but not ur SAS medal.

thats why i dont like most ppl that are 1st lieutentant's and up, they think they know it all and can't take it when srg. and crp tell them different

no its wrong how can it give me time for both at the same time,
ive only played as SAS on those maps for a long while as i try an get all my rewards.
its a bit confusing to me at the moment how it says ive played 50hrs as that nationatlity but 34hrs on another requirement :hmm:
if this is the case then which are the pure SAS maps?
as at the moment im totaly confused by it.
the maps that i play are warlord an ghost town

My input was the same as everybody else in this thread: we all informed you of the requirements for the medal but you chose not to read the posts. And you still don't understand how it works apparently.

Check your stats again..According to BF2s you only have 34 hrs and 28 minutes as SAS...You need 50 hrs for the medal. To get the ribbon you need 50 hrs combined no matter what army you play wheter SAS, Insurgents or Spetsnaz.

Okay I'm sorry I called you a noobcake, my apologies. Didn't know it was that offensive.

The reason you're not getting the medal is because you've mixed up time in theater and time played. See if you play Ghost Town as a Spetznas, it will count towards the theater time for both Spetznas & SAS. You just have to pick the SAS army on all the maps of their theater: the easiest way is to play on a warlord 24/7 server for a week or so.
