More RAM will help any jerkyness. Also, you could overclock your CPU and get some good speed out of it.

yeh i suggest thht u get like at least another 512 ram stick because thts under 1 gig and anything under 1 gig is crap. trying oc'ing ur cpu and oh, turn aa off tht will give u like another 5-10 fps.

best way of overclocking your CPU is from the your BIOS, overlock the FSB just a little, and test, then a lil more etc, repeat until your system becomes unstable/doesn't boot and then go back to the last good setting, make sure you know how to reset your CMOS aswell before trying it

i found that the 1.3 patch killed my performance...pre 1.3 i would get pretty smooth fps but now its just all choppy so im back playing the demo which is just as fun

YOu don't use software to overclock.

                        That should get you started.

Also bring your textures down to medium, you will get studders with them on high unless you have 1.5GB of ram or more.

Please don't do this. You need to learn more before you go cranking your FSB up all willy nilly.

Impurify~That is bad advice, what if his motherboard doesn't have a PCI bus lock? Then following your advice would have lead him to a good 'ol corrupted harddrive.

Try BF2 Starter and activate "Start BF2 with HIGH priority class". This will give you some fps...
