One year down the line how much has BF2 changed?

I just looked at my stats and noticed that I have been playing BF2 for just over a year For those of you that have been playing since the start can you remember the things that have changed in BF2 since it's initial incarnation? I dont want this to be a moan or flame about things that have or have not been changed merely a kinda look back at how much (or little ) the game has changed.

OK of the top of me head

Dolphin diving 9not as bad as it was),
    Sprint/ Jump exploit,
Noob tubers firing at their feet at karky,
Not having to wait a lifetime to get an unlock( back when 'what should I unlock' was a reasonable thing to ask as it may be the only one you would ever get:p ) ,
The requirements for badges ribbons etc have been reduced (remember how high they were time wise when the game first came out ),
    C4 frisbee (sp?) throwing,
The PKM became the fourth sniper rifle then reverted back a bit,
    ........

There must be much better ones but I have just got out my bed and I can't think straight.......need coffee

Haha, yeah, the old ranks were hillarious :). But I do miss the C4 frisbees .

Agree, that was one of the few times I was really dissapointed about any patches ...

I remember in the beginning there were not servers full of gimps bunny hopping and diving all over the place, TK'ing each other to death for vehicles, and being idiots in general. Sure there were a few here and there with the BH but nowadays most maps are populated with an overflow of glitching/cheating/exploiting.... and for what? As much as I love the point/rank system, it has brought to the forefront a slew of players just playing dirty in order to get stats/badges. My first 40 hours were from 6/05-9/05 were a blast until I had to take a break. Now in my 30 hours since restarting in April..... wow...just wow. I am really looking forward to 2142 just to get that "newness" that comes with a fresh game before everyone starts discovering all the exploits and whatnot. But alas I am sure there will be many crossover players from BF2 and the following will be commonplace:

"Hey that is my battlemech!" *TK*

Yeah, but glitches, bugs, exploits, idiots, tkers and whiners are things you have to cope with, they appear when you least want them to

              1 year after....
I start playing battlefield1942/ForgottenHope and DC more and more
              Less bugs, lag etc etc

This may sound dumb, but are there still people playing BF1942 and mods?
