For the mouse problem do this:
Right click the desktop > go to properties > settings > advanced > troubleshoot > and turn the thing down one notch.

Re: i have an issue
I had the exact same problem about a month ago. First I copied the bf2 folder in 'My Documents' (so i wouldnt have to adjust all my settings again). I did a reinstall.. after patching I replaced that folder back.. same thing happened. So I deleted the bf2 folder in My Documents (bf2 creates a new one when you play again) and it worked perfectly. The only downside to it was I had to adjust all my settings again, plus hear the dreaded nub tutorials again. But after a few times playing you wont hear it anymore.

Just a TIP: In Audio.con, in your profiles folder, look for this line:Originally posted by tomhead76The only downside to it was I had to adjust all my settings again, plus hear the dreaded nub tutorials again. But after a few times playing you wont hear it anymore.
AudioSettings.setHelpVoiceVolume 1
Set it to:
AudioSettings.setHelpVoiceVolume 0

Re: i have an issue
Can you navigate the BF2 menu? If so, go to controls and make sure keyboard keys are mapped.

Re: i have an issue
well doesnt look like im playing BF2 anymore. i uninstalled the game and tryed re-installing it. and everytime it gets to the downloading DalianPlantclient.zip
it says the game failed to install and shuts down. im sick of wasting my time trying to fix this damn game. if im not playing it, it wont work. ive re-installed this game 6 times throughout owning it because of these stupid little problems and im sick of it so whatever.

Re: i have an issue
install issues are often the result of bad ram
I had tons of install and modified content errors issues
replaced ram
all issues resolved
good luck

Re: i have an issue
You'd be amazed.. ram can cause HEAPS of problems.
sorry to hear you're going DOA, but that's the common trend now, I guess.

Re: i have an issue
Aww...The way I found to fix this, as I've had the problem before, is to go into my controls section in BF2 to find out nothing was assigned, so I restore to defualt and all is well again.
