It's very difficult. I try to hit them from the side because there is more surface area on the side of the plane. I've only managed to pull it off once or twice though.

i normally take them out from far away before they take off. tv has a pretty long range. nice to scout ahead too.

^Boom Headshot with a TV missile? well my usual gunner did that once, but he hit the head of the guy on the gunner on the tank, but it just exploaded him and not the tank.

Best way to do it is solo'ing I've done it quite a few times but got banned a few times ''cheating/aimbot'' dumbasses.

In my experience, and my gunners when I pilot, hitting them as they are going away from you is easiest. Especially as a lot of jets like to slow down to make a gun run on a helo. They fly away slow and can't maneuver very well. Makes an easy target.

Coming at you is harder since you have very little time to adjust since both objects are moving at each other quickly. Also it's unlikely you are going to get a direct straight on shot so it's easy to go too high or low when aiming.

The main problem is just speed and distance. The TV, although having speed, has no distance (any more) so any fast moving target can still usually outrun it even if you can compensate aiming wise.

the only way I've done it is solo... and I had to turn towards them when I knew he was going to do another swipe past me. I was going to wait until he was finished with his bank and then BOOM!!! Headshot!

i would always aim for the engine, as if u miss that u might hit the fin or wing and its somehwat wide, otherwise its just luck

No one is doubting that hebrew, but tanks don't travel at 1600kph (or mph, i still don't know) The fact is, that lag is the major factor in this. When you're interpolating something travelling that fast on a 60Hz server feed you're going to get some type of loss. If you're on lan or have a ping of under 50 this won't matter, but if you're up near 100 you will have to aim at the BACK END of the jet in order for it to register as a hit.

I don't profess to be a wicked gunner or jet pilot, but I understand how lag can fark up a hitbox, and result in no registration.

tv missile>tank, tank health>jet health, tv missile>jet (and pretty much anything else) if it can kill a tank in one shot anywhere it can kill a jet with one shot anywhere, simple mathematics

It depends on the jet that you're aiming at... but I'm not gonna say where =P I had to figure it out so you should too.

Coming straight at you is really hard.. but if you can catch them from behind.. that is the best.
