and do you mean MG on hummers and Faav including the 2 seater tanks?

But it doesnt seem to work, i used FAAV last time at golf of omen and waited for 10 minutes, nothing happened but i got the transport badge though!

u only have to stay in TOW or machine gun mount for basic fr 5 minutes in a rund.

yes dont use TOW, use a mouted gun. veteran wil take half a round and expert is possible if you just stick 2 it for the whole round.

Be commander, get on a mounted MG far away from action, and let the arty kills roll in. You can also do this for expert air defense.

If you just lookin for the basic try sitting in one of the 2 MG towers on wake 2007. You got 4 to choose from at the airfield.

hey A good was to get the basic ground defense badge is to join 32 or 64 player map sharqi peninsula, play the map for a bit and wait for the battle to come to the radio station there is a mounted tow and tanks and transpot vehicles come in like mad, thats how i got mine

Sharqi Penisula and hit the choppers and be commander to let the arty kills count as TOW Kills..

That's how yo do it the wrong way..

I did it by just sitting in the MG on Karkand 64 And lett all the MEC'S Cross the street and when they're halfway trough RATATATATTATTTAATTTTATTA

BTW

With Ground Defense you can use a MOUNTED MACHINE GUN or the TOW So you could use stationary machine guns.

It's lame, but uhm... Just be commander and drop artillery while sitting in a MG or AT-Turrent and you got Expert in 10 minutes.

the tow and mounted mg at the train crash on Karkand is how i got all my ground defense especially if the us have taken the suburb first, as they all spawn there and head straight at ya ..just remember to prone next to tow as all non noobs check on approach.when they try for the flag BAMMMM


but commander arty is more foolproof LOL

i hate to hear use the commander things, legal stat padding it is...honest way, play karkand at the beginning take up the mounted machine gun by the hotel u should be able to get 2 to 6 kills there before a tank rolls up and kills ya...stay there as long as you can then fall back to the square, suburbs or train wrek, watch your map to see where the enemy is heading and always head them off and get on the mounted guns before they get there...hint don't do it on 64 player maps too much armor

+1 on Kubra dam. Man the TOW launcher that is at the middle Dam spawn point. Keep firing TOW's at anything that moves. Eventually a sniper will get ya or a commander will drop Arty or a car on you, but thats the price to pay for being a ground defender.

If you have SF, here's a good tactic for getting the kills required for the Expert badge.

Get to this tower (see screenshot) on the map Mass Destruction as Spetsnaz in the beginning of a round, you'll have your badge in no-time:

I wasn't even commander, just sat in the TOW for 5 mins. It was boring, but I actually managed to kill this idiot trying to make it to our main bases (factory and stuff) on SAK :).

It's lame, but uhm... Just be commander and drop artillery while sitting in a MG or AT-Turrent and you got Expert in 10 minutes.

Do your arty kills while sitting in TOW count towards your TOW-kills? W00T!11!!11111!!!!!!eleven

Karkand: Use the TOW at the Suburb, esp. if the enemy is persistent in mounting an attack from the Train Accident. There is also a TOW at the Gatehouse that you can use to take out an enemy coming across the bridge.

Warlord: There is a TOW at the SAS HQ. If the enemy is bent on camping your uncap, then you can get kills here. Also, the TOW can reach the Plaza if you fire through the parking garage.
