****ed off at loading crash *common prob*

today i just freshly intsalled windows XP and updated it, along with latest drivers; now i installed BF2, then SF,armored fury, Euro forces, and full patch 1.3, after that every time im half loading the game, the damn game closes and dumps me back into desktop, i'm really p1ssed off at this because i never had this trouble before (in the previously OS i used), I installed patch 1.3 again to see if it gets fixed but no still same.

please help, im really angry at this and i dont want to reinstall cause i already did it 4 times and belive me, i hate reinstalling BF2,SF,armored fury, and euro forces.

My buddy was having the same problem so what he did was wiped out everything including doing a serch for BF2 crap on the cpu then he deleted...after that he put all patches up to 1.2 to see if it would run ( which it did ) and then went to another server (filecloud) and got the 1.3 patch and now it seems to run fine...It sounds like you already did that so good luck although I think it is just the stupid 1.3....

Others who have had crashes at the exact same spot tried setting they gfx to LOW everywhere. it worked but the game was crappy to play.

I've seen people with similar problems and their solutions involved patching differently than you did. Try doing it this way.

BF2>SF>EF>Full 1.3>AF

That wont work, EF will need to be patched before and after installing it.

yeah special forces ahouls be first because it installs 1.21, anyways right now my games works with patch 1.21, right now im dling 1.22 incremental, then 1.3, right now im just testing.

yep same thing happened to me. i uninstalled and reinstalled, etc. nothing worked. this patch is horrible!!!

after patching with 1.3 delete the BF2 folder inside mydocs.
explanation: 1.3 patch also modifies default video settings inside mydocs\bf2 folder.
