We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I know Blizzard would ban CD-Keys. That would be even more of a punishment. You'd have to buy the entire game again.
This is from a hack site:
We have included polymorphing directly from the server to ensure that each ******* user obtains a completely different version of each hack. In addition, we have added nospread and norecoil to our CSS/DODS/HL2DM hack. Its working very nicely and ******** went 120-3 one round! New in the bf2 world is the BF2 Light hack for those who dont want to full out hack, but still want the advantage. BF2 Light is a extremely small, and impossible to detect mini version of BF2 Full hack. It has Chamz, Nofog and Crosshairs. ******** has also updated the aimbot in BF2 Full beta hack to really start owning those PB servers! The aimbot in our bf2 hack is fast approaching almost countrstrike levels of killing, You need to check it out for yourself to believe it.
Maybe PB has been updated to detect this since the guy mentioned has had his stats reset. But based on what it says here, I'm concerned that PB isn't able to stop this.
how many of these cheats do you thik really care about their stats? I think they should just ban their player ID so they can't even log in anymore.
Well then they would just make another ID.
I think the main reason people like to hack is because they can. They are beating the system, I think they care more about that than killing players easily.
Even with all the problems I'll look at it as the cup is half full nothalf empty...
As an Engineer, the glass is twice as large as it needs to be.
I think the best thing to do is find couple of servers that actually ban these smacktards and play there. If they are banned from those servers then you don't have to worry about them ever again.
So what if they have 1,000,000 Global points...not like anything happens after 50,000 when you have all the unlocks. Ooo...I can be commander because I have more points...big deal since they'll never be on your server again.
To me, that's more important than getting someone's stats wiped.

Actually, its easy to spot these guys. First off they 'snap' to targets that are not normally viewable while you're watching them in spectator mode.
If you look at the PB shots you'll see them pointing at targets behind walls/ground when they don't have UAV and their target isn't spotted.

Yea if they want to buy another copy of the game, you cant just randomly create another CD Key Hash I think that is what he means.
the reporting system does actually work, but problems with alot of reports are
1 He pwned me I want him reset and no I dont have any screen shots
2 the screen shots dont show enough evidence
3 stats dont support the player reported
the big factor is that BF2RS/BFROE do NOT reset anyone stats, we take the information it's put into a system in which EA pulls from once it's been verified by an Admin/Officer.
so at the end of the day if your going to take screen shots and submit them to either program please make sure they actually show something, a name tag on a wall is not good enough..
oh and btw I have a guy on my forums as I write this screaming about he was just reset so yes the system does actually work..
<<R2>>Capt.HKS... I remember coming to your TS and more, it's sad you think we do nothing to help the community...
BTW, you can post screen shots from BF2S all day long it's not our job to go hunting for them, if they were actually reported to our site I can guarantee they would make it to EA...
and furthermore:
even though I think the ROE are pretty good to have
where in the EULA or retail package does it say - you have to subscribe to new rules as they are implemented?
I bet less than 50% of the players ever visit these or any forums
yet they are subject to some set of rules they never heard of
hey - I am not defending cheaters/hackers - they should be banned from public play - just using this post to sneak in my thoughts
I read the whole thing and never found that I have to agree to some ROE.
Rules of Engagement [RoE] Beyond the server configuration settings there are many in-game policies for ranked servers. We refer to these as the Rules of Engagement,
YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT THESE RULES WILL APPLY TO ANYONE THAT YOU ALLOW TO USE YOUR SERVICE ACCOUNT OR USER ID, AND THAT YOU ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES (INCLUDING TERMINATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT) THAT MAY RESULT IF ANY SUCH PERSON BREAKS THESE RULES.
IN ORDER TO HELP MAKE THE SERVICE A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE, EA MAY OCCASIONALLY FIND IT NECESSARY TO MAKE CHANGES TO, OR RESET CERTAIN PARAMETERS OF, THE SERVICE IN ORDER TO BRING IT BACK INTO BALANCE. THESE CHANGES OR RESETS MAY AFFECT CHARACTERS OR TEAMS UNDER YOUR CONTROL AND MAY CAUSE YOU SETBACKS WITHIN THE GAME WORLD.
THESE RULES MAY BE CHANGED, AND NEW RULES MAY BE ADDED, AT ANY TIME. YOU AGREE TO CHECK THE SERVICE WEB SITE FROM TIME TO TIME TO REVIEW ANY RULE CHANGES THAT ELECTRONIC ARTS MAY HAVE MADE.

IndianScout I'm not saying you guys don't do a good job and laying the blame on you personally, so don't take this personally. I never said I don't think you do nothing to help the community. I'm only giving you and others my personal experience when it has come to reporting players. From my experience it hasn't worked.
As you can see I'm 0 and 3 and you can't get anymore definitive then the proof I have submitted in the past, SS's I posted, the fraps footage and the SS others posted and yet they all still have their stats and I left plenty of time some 5-6 months to make this assumption.
The other thing that concerns me about the BFROE and BF2RS systems is the lack of transparency which still hasn't been addressed by either places. What I mean is everything is now done behind closed doors. Any player or server reported don't know that they have been and they never get any opportunity to defend themselves unlike the old forum system for reporting players and servers.
Will BFROE address this issue and provide true transparency to the reporting process. As in a player or server can see they have a ticket against them, the player that reported them and all the evidence that has been submitted?
I also realise that you guys are merely a data collection agency and reporting process and the ball ultimately is in EA's court and from my experience somewhere along the line the ball has been dropped.
Here's an example of the player I mentioned that we kicked from our clan after seeing a report which included him as the highest scoring player on a P&K server.
In the SS his score was 789. That is also his best round score. That alone should be enough to wipe his stats. However we followed him around and made 2 more reports, provided multiple SS, fraps footage also and still he didn't get reset.
