Best Round Score - 524290

Yah so I was looking at my rankings on BF2Tracker.com

I noticed that I was ranked 840 for Wake Island. So I decided to look at the list of who was ranked the highest on Wake. I noticed that the ranks were determined by the best round score. The #1 Wake player had something ridiculous like 1,437 for their best round score! I was shocked and just couldn't believe my eyes. So I just had to check one thing, Strike at Karkand... because you know how people love to whore points on that map like it nothing. So, I checked it and this is what came up....

But for some reason on BF2s it says his best round score is 65,535…. What the hell is going on?

Oh and I love that since this guy must be soooo good to get a score like this, he was killed 37 times by one guy. Wow ,such bs.

100ish I can see..
200-300 is a person a server with 10 guys on a 64 map with to much free time..did this twice, dare I say BORING!
After 400-500 that its questionable padding, almost postive.

ive played with him before and i must say he is pretty good, but nowhere good enough to get that type of score.(if possible at all.) definetly a padder.

Great thing is EA won't do anything 'bout it. Here we have is a list of people who have INSANE scores that are impossible to get. It is all the proof we need.

The individual with like 97K has to be playing long games with only roughly 2K games played..I only have like 48K with like 4K games...

its the commander bug,
they were talking about it before patch 1.3 was released
you guys remember the whole bunch of guys who got to 1st place then said EA was buggy or something like that?

He is using the commander bug/exploit. It's not a real bug where you get in by accident, you do it on purpose and it gives you incredible amounts of points as you can see.

Some reason I don't believe that. You can't just apply the bug. Plus there there is no chance that guy could've gotten 524290 points in one round, even if he did use some sort of bug.

i got 300+ that way before. sure was boring. dropped a car for myself to drive round for nothing. lol

He must be using the commander bug, coz getting 60k in a round, even if you're "only" padding is sick and impossible...

It's likely 65,536 because of the way the BF2s web site is programmed; looks like they are using a 2-byte field to store the binary score (2^16 = 65,536; the valid range would be 0 to 65,535) figuring that no one would exceed that. Kudos to them for having a site that doesn't crash and burn when a field is exceeded.

More than likely there is just some glitch. Everyone was quick to call out commander hack but the guy has over 800 hours of gameplay. So his score is about right for someone averaging what he does. And he only has 9k commanding.

Yes it was possible, there was a bug that in the end of the round you restarted over and over the map and your score would climb exponentialy (when you were a commander).

This was only possible with the help of server admnins.
