When Recording a movie you guys set graphics on high?

Just wanna see what other people might say about this, i set mine but it lags just a little bit, my video card is a PCIE Radeon ATI 550 Xtasy

high with a bit of lag? lucky. when i record with fraps in game, i have all low and still get unplayable lag (when recording)

do some tests. pump it up to where its just barely playable, and then turn it down just a tad bit and thats where u should be in my opinion

You gotta just find a balance.. Resoultion, Dynamic Shadows, etc..

There is a guide somewhere that tells you exactly what each setting does, and what is reccomended..

When I play the game, everything low except Geometry on High and Effects on Medium.

When I am viewing a demo, everything on High, everything on and AA at its highest (6x) I get lag for the first minute then it isn't too bad.

X700 256mb here.

I have everything maxed out when I record with Fraps. It only lags a bit.
