It's important to mention the J-10 in this discussion. If I'm going up against a J-10 after the first missile hits successfully and I see others coming in my rear view I'll almost always bail (especially in the F-35B) and then suicide in midair unless I'm over something valuable on the map I can drop down and cap. Because let's face it, it's useless to go up against a J-10, or to even run from one of them, even if the pilot really sucks. In my view the J-10 pilot who destroyed my plane did nothing to earn the kill so I have no qualms depriving them of it. Every other plane I'll stay seated and take my death like a man, but that isn't an issue for me because as long as I'm not going up against a J-10 I'm not worried about dying.

see the mentality of it is that. If you bail you will not get the plane when it respawns. verse taking a death and then waiting on the carrier for it. I am not the greatest pilot so when i am in a rare dogfight i bail. I know its a pain for the other pilot becuase. You cant get the kill on the person you have wasted all 6 of your missles on.

The only time i would ever bail was if i was in a F-35 over the Chinese Base with a sniper rifle and a J-10 locked onto me and hadnt fired any missiles. Other than that I think it is a noobish thing to do.

glad to hear alot of you stay and fight the good fight, i know its a different issue if the j-10s on your butt hehe i feel if the guy is good enuff to shoot me down he deserves the kill, visa versa too.another poster before said if the guy bails repeatedly he goes and bombs the base lol good for you!(note boozemonkey does in no way condone baseraping lol) Again it also makes sure you spawn by your plane again. if no ones there than you get to go for a spin again

I want to see how many in the community actually do this. Ive been noticing lately alot of bailers in dog fights . This aggrivates me to no end because you'll have someone one your "six" shake 'em and get behind them, plug him a few times and guess what then he bails. sometimes not even near his own airfield, my point is you spent 5 minutes trying to get 2 points and come away with nothing lol. Me personally i go down with my ship every time. No exceptions. I'd like to see how many in this community would go down with there ship, or jump at the first sign of smoke. lets not count the j-10 battles please lol we know were most of those end up. Give a reason as to why you would jump or stay :)

once im in a plane, if my plane is up to its last health bar.i wouldnt even have bailed out cuz swimming back to the carrier or walking to back to the airbase is much longer than waiting 15 minutes. i cant stand waiting.

I don't get how ignorant jerks like the OP can really try to make case and point with this topic. WTF would any pilot in their right mind stay inside an aircraft fixed or rotary 0-2 bars away from oblivion to award the enemy pilot with a kill when you can A) bail and swim/walk to nearest operation B) suicide and get back in the air ASAP or C) do what Metallica said. I can't stand it when douchebags run their mouthes because I robbed them of the kill they most likely didn't deserve anyway because they're hiding behind the BS abilities of the J-10. So STFU. If you give the target enough lead time to bail and survive in the first u don't deserve the kill idiot.

Ya um lets keep the conversation about planes and not about what goes on in the "pen" lol ^^ everyones entitled to an opinion thats why i made the poll, some people dont bail (like me) get shot to **** and go back with a sense of vengence. I just wanted to see how others felt...maybe im wrong? but i do know i hate it with a passion chasing the enemy for 5 minutes then boom nothing....of course in real life they have ejection seats yadda yadda yadda. I got an idea maybe you can relax on posting like you have the biggest E-penis in the world and try just speaking you mind insted of calling me a jerk? and a douchebag.dude you twelve?...never mind your probably looking for a flame war. did i say you had to stay in the plane while i shot you down? the answer is ....no.

I never jump out, unless my plane is already giving me that "OMFG-UR-A-BBQ" sound, then I jump. Mostly it's because I never want to admit that I'm going down (and I'll have to wait for about a half hour if I want to get into another jet, probably get TK'd a couple times, etc.). Besides, if you're hurting but not critical a couple slow runs over the airfeild will patch you right up.

12 ? uhhh no dude wtf does every say that ********? it is a GD sector of fire adn the one I'm always in smoking assclowns out the sky. and second you philosiphy there basically is more like in the bailer case you have a defendent and a victim, the victim has no means to defend themselves, hence they do all tehy can and try to save themselves. Your POV has 2 combatants with the "means" to defend themselves. Ever heard the phrase "never bring a knife to a gunfight?"

If I am hit in the F35B and have no flares and see 5 rockets comming after me while flying above land... Hell yeah I jump.
