Why bother?

Just had a first.... well, a first for me, but probably a regular for others.

Playing on VETS 24/7 Karkand, and I had just defended the train crash flag, along with a nice fellow in the T90 - who then proceeded to jump out of that, in order to take his newly acquired M1A1.

So, me being a lazy spec ops, decided to jump into the T90 with a squad buddy of mine. All nice and civil.

Up to the square and I'm getting fixed from a supply crate when all of a sudden another spec ops guy is standing on the front of my tank - fair enough, human shield I think

Off I plod, full armour, to do a quick drive-by of the suburb flag - when random spec ops guy starts sending messages on team chat, that he had placed C4 on my tank - followed by the obligatory 20+ exclamation marks.

Not being exactly called for, I decide it would be best to drop the guy, rather than the team lose two members and one shiny new T90 – so I do just that, whilst giving him the message “C4 that : )”, and off I go to see the suburb flag.
About 4 seconds later, boom! The arse had obviously been revived and proceeded to make good on this hard man e-threat

Why on earth would anyone want to do this, it just beggars belief as to the mentality of some players?

You could say that I was wrong to TK him, but as I rarely do it on purpose (unless Mr Medic is not doing his job of course), and this little scrote frankly deserved it, I felt so much better for doing it :laugh:

Ah well, vent over, and my ISP is playing up, so that's probably the end of BF2 for me tonight :cry:

Don't think much of it. The community is filled with idiots, and really, what fun would a game be without idiots? Oh wait, I think it would be ALOT of fun.

So he jumped out to plant C4 on the vehicle and you jump in it and kill him... then taunt him... then you get TK'd by the very same C4 he planted on the vehicle?

You learned a valuable lesson. Next time, take his kit after you kill him to prevent him from reviving and getting hold of that detonator.

Better yet... TK him, plant YOUR C4 all around his body, THEN swap kits... that way, when he awakes and blows "his" c4 he gets a suicide.

You learned a valuable lesson. Next time, take his kit after you kill him to prevent him from reviving and getting hold of that detonator.

That is one way to do it. The C4 should go away after a few seconds adding insult to injury.

Sometimes I drive the vehicle near a mass a friendlys and the resulting Tk's turns the team totally against the idiot who usually are squeaking out apologies or desperately trying to state his case rest of map.

I don't know which is more entertaining.The game or some of the characters playing it.I saw 2 guys in a knife fight in the alley at hotel on Karkand.One of the guys team mates rounds the corner and see's them and whips out his knife to join in.He succeeds in tk'ing his mate and getting himself knifed in 3 seconds tops.A medic revives them both only to get tk'd himself while they go at each other again.B4 either of them can kill the other an op4 lobs a nade at their feet ending my entertainment.Just as well cuz my sides were aching from laughing.

Last night I tk'd a guy 3 times on the heli pad on wake, while my gunner revived him each time, was hilarious. Just so happens he was raping us on the map before in a plane. He didn't come back for the chopper again. I never used to tk people, but since I started flying helos I just have to do it sometimes and I always get a laugh doing it.

had a simular thing happen...a$$hat comes on the =IMO= server....i get the tank (he can clearly see my =IMO= tag and can read our rules on tking..he proceeds to c4 my tank while i am fighting the enemy and blows me up....click ... banned for being a smaktard of below average intelligence

Reminds me of a guy I was flying with the other night. All kinds of crazy stunts. Halfway through the bout, he finally squadded up with me, and came over the VOIP. It became quickly apparent my gunner couldn't have been more than 9 years old. That's probably the root cause of a lot of stupid antics.

Na I'm an old man, been pking newbs since 97' in UO. I just like screwing with all the teenies , know if I ever tk you, I'm probably old enough to be your dad.
