I just got a new 23' widescreen monitor and I set the resolution and everything in the profiles and made a shortcut. Im using resolution 1360X768 and I still crash as soon as I click to start up BF2. Is there a fix for this?
Its probably trying to run bf2 at your old monitors refresh rate. Try deleting the video.con from C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
Im assuming that by crash you mean the game doesnt start to load.
