  • AF has dissapeared?

I have been playing AF for the last hour when I got CTD'd. Reboot computer, try to log back into the server and it tells me I need to purchase and install AF to play... WTF?

Tried to log in to the EA downloader and check that all is well there and that crashes too...

    any useful suggestions?

edit : Hmm... Just tried to log on to EA's site and get an error msg (Error contacting logon server).

          Re: AF has dissapeared?

If you need to redownload it and it says play now only do this:

Here is a solution for re-downloading from EA Downloader when the "Download Now" button isn't visible and "Play Now" only shows!

          Question
How do I manually uninstall the EA Downloader?

          Answer
To manually uninstall EA Downloader you will need to edit your system registry and remove the folders in a two part process. This will remove all traces of the game from your system.
Remember that editing your computers registry or files incorrectly can severely damage your operating system. We recommend having a computer professional perform these steps. If you are confident, however, that you can edit your registry successfully, then please follow the instructions below carefully.

To remove all of the game folders:
          1. Open My Computer.
          2. Open your harddrive ( by default this is C: )
          3. Open the Program Files folder.
          4. Open the Electronic Arts folder.
          5. Right-click on the EA Downloader folder and choose Delete.
          6. A Confirm Folder Delete window will appear, choose Yes.
          7. When the folder is finished deleting, close the window.
          8. Right-click on your Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.

Now you can remove the registry keys for the game:
          1. Click on Start and then click on Run...
          2. In the text line type regedit, then click OK.
          3. Click on File and then Export...
          4. Choose a location and name for the file (this will be your backup registry file).
          5. Click Save.

The next steps will all be performed in the left pane of the Registry Editor window:
          1. Click on the + next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
          2. Click on the + next to SOFTWARE.
          3. Click on the + next to Electronic Arts.
          4. Right-click on EA Core folder and choose Delete.
          5. Click on the + next to Microsoft.
          6. Click on the + next to Windows.
          7. Click on the + next to Current Version.
          8. Click on the + next to Uninstall.
          9. Right-click on {1D171963-9063-4423-898B-8EC4F1F190B7} and choose Delete.
          10. A Confirm Key Delete window will appear, choose Yes.

EA Downloader has now been completely removed from your system.
