How do you compress the movie into widescreen? Without removing something of the video image, just compressing the video image down to widescreen.
Everytime I do it, there's something missing, like the minimap - and the bottom where you see your health and ammunition status. I want it to be like Blitz's where you see it all, just where it is compressed into widescreen.

sony vegas 6, render to NTSC widescreen or whatever and it should work....that is if you have sony vegas 6

Another question! Like in the intro. I want to zoom in on the text so that the text flows towards me. How do I do this? Any help apreciated!

just set it up as far away for the first frame and then like 3-5 seconds later set it up as close as you want it to get. it should flow nicely

I've looked for tutorials and tryed some, but I can't seem to figure what to do.. Can somebody please please give me an explanation of it after I have opened the Event Pan/Crop.

ok so this is how its done

1. Add your text and click ok so its on the timeline
2. side click on it -> even pan/crop and you should be here

Notice how on the bottom of the window under "position" it is still on 0:00:00, meaning the beginning. also notice how the whole dotted line box fills up the whole screen. whatever is in the box is what going be shown. in contrary, what is outside of the box is not. right now it is set to default, but we will tinker to fit our needs

3. alright so lets take a closer look, this is what your going to need to do. Basically make the box ridiculously small enough to fit in the letter, and put it wherever you want the focal point to be. It should look something like this

This would imply that when at 0:00:00, or at the first frame, what is going to be show will be inside the box (obviously pitch white).

4. Zoom back out and drag the position cursor to a few seconds later. Also, when you are done positioning it, expand the box and fit it so that it was to where it was before we messed with it at first. It should look like this

Exit, press play, and see how you like it so far. If it is too slow for you, you can drag the second marker to the left and it will speed up the transition. if it is too fast, drag it to the right and it will slow it down

it will make its own smooth transition between the two points, and turn out like this

add other points in between if you want to tinker with speeds like speed up and slow down, its all about placement

i hope you get how its used, because i realized that you wanted to text flow towards you and i did the exact opposite lol. in that case on the first frame keep it as default distance and then at like 3 or 4 or 5 seconds, make it right on the letter like i just showed. basically everything backwards from what i did in a nutshell. ill be here if you need more help

Very nice mini-writeup! Those little diamond markers are called keyframes. Each one, as you see, has a collection of settings, which transitions between them on the timeline. If you want the transition be be clean cut, by that I mean transition right to the next keyframe, change the "smoothness" setting to 0. I believe it is under "Keyframe Interpolation".

For the widescreen, I used "track motion". It is a button under the track settings, at the very left of the track. Change the height and width values.

Wow I realised that you can do a lot with the zoom thing, especially when I'm making a frag movie! It's a lot more spicy than before. :)

Final question: Where do I change the speed, so it goes down to slowmotion?

Right click the [video] event and insert a velocity envelope. This will only change the speed of the video track though. You can also hold CTRL and stretch / compress an event with its audio.

you'll have to shorten it too so dont forget about that. when it reaches the end it automatically loops from the beginning in order to keep the same timeframe
