Contrary to what you have heard, Alternative Battlefield Ranking, IS NOT DEAD.
We are in fact giving away Prizes! DICE is working with us at ABR to fully integrate
ABR in 1.4, what does that mean? Well, more ABR ranked servers than ever before,
return of the public world, yes; you heard right, return of the amazingly popular public world.
Get your server ranked for FREE, we also offer you the chance to have your own medal/ribbon/badge featured in some of the biggest Mods around and of course to get some Battlefield 2 Gear and other goodies! FREE
So What's the Deal?
We are organizing a design contest for Battlefield 2.
The goal is to show off your custom designed Medals, Badges and awards.
The Deadline of the contest has been extended, end date is around a month away, and final date will be posted. Submissions received after that date will NOT be eligible for inclusion at that time.
Whens the deadline?
We have had to extend the contest, due to EA sending us the prizes late, so that works to your benefit
as you now get 1 more month to get your submissions in. If you already have submissions in, you get an extra month to not only make more, but refine your previous awards.
What do I do?
You just create your own Award! This could be a Medal, Badge or Ribbon.
Make up your own criteria for that award and send it in! Your own criterion is NOT a requirement, but you should decide how someone earns YOUR award.
The Designs
The designs you send in, are publicly available for everybody.So if you don’t win, you still have the chance, that some Mod team has their eye on your design! They may even contact you to use that design or have you join the team and make more.
Who can participate?
Everybody! Of course, some skills are required to create the visualization of your medal. But you don’t have to be an expert to create something beautiful that gets used.
The Prizes:
The Biggest prize, is of course getting your design in your favorite bf2 mod but,
We are giving away some battlefield 2 gear for the top nominees of the contest.

The submission guidelines, see forum for latest info. There are some standard designs guidelines, which you need to stick by, or else your submission will not be judged. See the Award Contest Rules for those in-detail guidelines.
There are three classes to enter and win.
Class 1: Medal
Class 2: Ribbon
Class 3: Badges
Badge submissions should be in all awards, Basic, Vet and Expert, if not, at least some other significant change to distinguish 3 Levels.
Each Individual award should be in .PNG Format!
Each award submission should be in 3 versions:
3d perspective (minimal 512x512 px)
2d Front view (minimal 512x512 px)
Alpha Mask of 2dFrontview (minimal 512x512 px, 2d front view, background is black, ALL medal/badge/ribbon is white)
Submission Rules:
Submissions will contain: Images + award Name + Criteria (how to get the medal)
Submit your work in the Forum, Attach 3 images. - Images may be updated until the closing Date.
Submissions with Missing or incomplete images, will be disqualified.
