BF2 Starter is a small tool, to start BF2 without the login screen and manage your BF2 accounts and favourite servers.

How does it work?

Enter your BF2 (Gamespy) account data and click "Start BF2". BF2Starter connect to the selected server without login screen, intro movies, etc.

- no installation required: download & start
- some startoptions: high priority class, run BF2 in fullscreen mode or window, Intro movies yes/no
- detect BF2 installation directory
- Debug Mode (F12)
- Mod-support
- password encryption: AES 256 bit
- require nearly no resources (4MB RAM, 0% cpu)

looks great, xfire can do just about the same, but i like the no intro movies :)

just take the movies out of the bf2 mods folder. That is what i did. works for me without having to launch and esc once the EA DICE logos appear.

Version 1.10 was released yesterday.

Now, BF2 Starter can start other software before BF2 starts (Teamspeak, BattleEye, BF2CC, etc.) and have XP Design.

just take the movies out of the bf2 mods folder. That is what i did. works for me without having to launch and esc once the EA DICE logos appear.

or you could just add +restart 1 to the shortcut you launch BF2 with. (in the Target texbox in Shortcut properties). There's no need delete or move or rename the files. This launcher probalby also uses +restart 1 option.
