spawncamping on karkand

today i pld this map (god knows why!!) and i saw some mec players get kicked for spawncamping. so i presume they killed a few people at the first USA spawn. now a few times i spawn at the hotel and get killed the instant i spawn by tanks, infantry and tonnes of grenades. there was obviously no real attempt to cap the flag, so why the hell isnt that classed as spawncamping and them getting kicked?

part of the problem is of course the game spawning people infront of enemies, but the other is the admins allowing this one sided spawncamping.
back to normal servers where its fair and anything goes for me :laugh:

kirkland (lol) is all about tossin nades, tossing ammo/med packs, dropping claymores, spawn camping in armor, and the entire round should be fought between the USMC uncap, and hotel.......anything else is noobish :p

on a serious note though, sounds like the admin was on the USMC side, and had you asked him why he was only kicking MEC spawncampers, you would have been kicked/banned on the spot no doubt......dont blame the map, blame the players, and the admin.....its them who determine how fun/fair a map/round is

A lot of servers don't allow you to spawn camp or kill people in the uncap areas. At the beginning of the map there is nowhere else to spawn, so it kinda makes sense to me they wouldn't allow camping there.

As for spawn camping capable flags I think its part of the risk of spawning close to the action or at a flag with enemies. Its a choice...spawn close and risk a quick death or spawn a flag away and drive to the action.

I love watching an orgy of medics swarm on to one guy in the ally ways, then either all get claymored or naded.

karkland pretty much favors the usmc,with the armor so close to the frontline vs. the mec. anyhoot, it's probably cause the admin didn't like mec attacking .

1.) 1st of all, the hotel is not an uncappable main.

2.) In order to successfully cap that flag a tank NEEDS back up, and lobbing grenades can suppress the SPec ops trying to wax the armor.

If you are spawn "raped", simply spawn another place and take the guy out.
If you are out of spawns, you have lost the game, simple as that. :p

another lil thing i picked up early on....is you dont have to spawn at the end of 15 seconds.....sometimes i deselect my spawn point until the spawncampers have left....then i spawn....i must be genious....

If you are out of spawns, you have lost the game, simple as that. :p

unless some people are still alive. If they are smart they'll form squads so people can spawn on them and capture unguarded posts, but let's face it, nobody is willing to do that (at least nobody I've played with)

You cant spawn on a squadleader, if you dont have any spawns/flags left.....

The USMC are supposed to assault the hotel. It isn't spawn raping if they're killing people to try and take the point.

That's why MEC are given so many flags. They're defending and USMC are tactically attacking. So it doesn't nessecarily favour anyone as they aren't doing the same thing (Attacking).. If the MEC only have factory left then they should consider attacking and then they are the one's with close tanks/APCs.

As for spawn camping.. It's a threat to those trying to cap a flag e.g running and jumping up the ladder to have someone spawn behind your back and blast you. All entrances are covered by spawners. So to have a good teamwork, you need communication. Some stay to kill any spawners (All points) while other's run for the flag... but that rarely happens, or only by luck

Yeah happened a few days ago I was a sniper watching a ptb clan member with a tank blowing away everyone spawning[spawn camping] and someone said "Isn't there a rule against spawn camping????" Then I said there probaly isn't seeing how the ptb guys were the ones spawn camping and of course I banned after the admin said something like go blame admins somewhere else..
Well I tried so whatever just another 24/7 karkand server I don't care about.
Also there's a difference between attacking a spawn and spawn camping.

You shoudln't get kicked for anything really. They just have to find a way around what your doing. Stupid people keep spawning there.
USMC main base is not able to be captured, so that is spawn camping. I do it sometimes as a means of delaying their armour/APCs and troops. And to p*ss off the commander. I feel I have contributed greatly towards our time in defense for tickets
