    Were Repair Points Nerfed?

I have no problem getting any badges, except basic repair. I've played hours as an engineer, but I still rarely get any repair points. Does anyone have a clue?

several ways of getting it really

repair commander assets cos arty, uav, and radar should get you close in one go :)

or try a map with loads of armour like Songhua and roll around behind other apcs repairing them, easy repair points and usually you can pick up easy kills after they have damaged the enemies armour :)

or get your mate to drive his vodnik into the water while you repair it with him still in it    jk

Repair points are given on a 100 percent cycle basis. If u repair 50% of a vehicle, u need another 50% to get one repair point. If u repair 70%, u need another 30. U may not be getting each cycle.

You got only 9H as engineer.
Hover over the awards to see the requirements.:p
Hes looking for his basic repair, not vet.

I got mine sitting in the ESSEX while the carrier was being raped by jets. I kept repairing and dying. Shot a couple of them down, and almost got a purple heart. But then, just a few seconds before the round ended, I managed to get enough points for the badge.

The good old bh-repairing days are over ... scored a lot of repair-points that way Now I see commander cartillery there own artillery to be able to repair it and get the badge (not the points).

Wow, that's a lot harder than geting healing points or worse yet, ammo points. Healing points you get for healing half the health of a player, and then ammo it's for like every 2 magazines of the gun you resupply or somethin.

Repair points are the hardest thing to get in the game, always have been, and every patch they release they nerf them even more. I have played engineer so much (316 hours) that I should have the expert badge, but these days, I can repair like a maniac and only come up with maybe 6 repair points.

I got the 10 for vet badge, back in October, only way to do get 20 points repairing now would be to stat pad, and it isn't that important to me.

Wouldn't it be possible to get the 20 repair points on an extended round on a 64p map with only low number of players playing?
Maybe by repairing tanks, and other vehicles?

My record in repair points for one round was 12. I was lucky enough to notice that a couple of guys kept entering our main to blow up the commanders arty and other assets. The commander would tell me every time they destroyed their stuff and I would haul balls back to main and repair.

Definitely, any map with loe player #'s. On Daquin if they destroy all assets, that is 5-6 repair points depending on what side you are on, that is the best map to try for the Expert Repair, IMO.

Yea, in addition to taking longer to do the action (to resupply, to heal, to repair), also the support class and medic class can drop bags which heal/resupply much faster than just standing there with a bag in your hands, with repairing, you must go up to it, click th emouse, and wait.

Yeah repair points are way too difficult to get compared to the heal and ammo. One round post bhwhoring I got 13 repair points and felt like a hero, I was repairing everything in site and vehicles which are harder because they move and get shot at. Don't know if I can get that much again....

Not all vehicles are the same...50% of a tank vs. 50% of a jeep for example.

It seems to be 100% of your 'repair bar' to get a repair point.

Repair assets on Karkand when the MEC commander is dropping cartillery.

I got my Vet enginner playing a very very long round om Kark , and i mean like 10 players 64 player map .

The only points i am going to bother getting now for Engineer will be for the Meritorious Service Medal , you need a thousand of them .

To get the expert 20 IAR now you have to be seriuosly padding ,it's impossible .

I do remember the pain I went through trying for the basic repair badge...
Not sure if it's worth going through it again for vet...
I'm a casual BF2 gamer therefore I don't even know if I'll find the time to do so.
