ROE broken?

I just finished playing on a server and something happened that may have broken ROE. OK this server was CPC 24/7 karkand 85.236.100.137:16667.

What happened was this player, who had obviously just started playing the game, took command of our US forces. It appeared he didn't know what he was doing. He artied us afew times whilst we were taking bases and tk afew players as a result. The admin got very angry and swore blue murder at him for his inexperience. I mean he was swearing, calling him all sorts of names and took it too far....for an admin he abused his powers. Anyhow the 'noob' player was kicked.

Was this a breach of ROE considering the player was verbally abused and was kicked without intentionally breaking server rules?

I'd say it was. If it was on a ranked server then it qualifies as an abusive admin. Also it could count as placing restrictions on what options there are for players.

If someone wants to use profanity on a server they pay for, who are you to say they cannot? If he is paying the bill on that server then, I dont know what you are complaining about really. The guy that got kicked could have been hindering teamplay for all we know. I know it p!sses me off to no end when we have a commander that does not know what he is doing.
If the commander teamkilled a lot of people with arty, I would have kicked him too. If it caused a lot of people to leave, it was his choice to do what he thought. You cannot go around reporting people for admining their servers either.

kicking is one thing, being abusive to another player simply because they are inexperienced is unacceptable, and there is no excuse for it....

sure its their server, but that doesnt give them the right to be abusive to anyone else.....i certainly hope that server finds itself empty more often than not...and im sure it would be because of this admin....

im sure if an admin was hurling abuse, and profanity at me, i wouldnt think this was an admin, and would defend myself....and that would get me kicked.....childish admins can give alot of abuse, but certainly wouldnt take even the slightest of resistence

It's what you expect from a 24/7 karkand server anyway. Everyone points hungry with no respect for players.

I won't be playing there again.

I dont agree that the admin had the right to be an asshat to the commander. It's like flying, if you dont know how a Ranked server really is not the best place to learn. Some might disagree but it just makes sense. You don't drop arty on your team, that is enough to get a kick from just about any server.
If you cannot command then you need to resign and let someone else do it.

why is swearing such a bad thing. they are just words. its not a sin to curse. its our society that has deemed curse words bad. what the difference in saying im going to go take a doodoo and saying im going to go take a sh*t. they mean the same thing but why is sh*t considered a bad word. say for instance i used this term in a sentence may u play like doodoo or man u play like sh*t. why should the last one offend. thats just my oppinion on curse words.

If he pays for the server, even if it is no good reason, you sometimes get owned by 'house rules'. It is their server after all, just don't go there again if you don't agree with their rules, there are alot of other servers out there. And if the admins are total pricks, they'll lose any popularity they have on their own.

Exactly...swear words are just that words. Now if they were racial slurs then there are other problems.

Players swear all the time, but I was more meaning he was an admin in charge of running the server. A server rule was be polite and do harrass players, yet he was swearing on the voice comms. So that's double standards for a start.

I have no issues with swearing, however if admin swear they should expect to be sworn at themselves, which they would never allow. Swearing by admin is a bad thing and gives out a bad example. If admin swear like that then they should inform players before they enter the server. There are alot of BF2players out there and it is a certainty some many will take offence.

He probably shouldn't have sworn but there is a line in the ROE, which means he can kick the commander for not doing their job properly.

§2.3 You may not deliberately hinder your own team or acting in such as way as to cause team mates unavoidable deaths or team losses.

He is well within his rights to kick that commander for disruptive gameplay.
