Battlefield Install Messed Up Big Time

I am having major problems with the game,
I can't:
- connect to account server
- install the latest patch
- uninstall the game
- install the game (when i put the disk in, it thinks it isn't installed)

Whenever i try any of the above it just exits to desktop. Very annoying!
Please help if you can.

"Exits to desktop when you are installing or uninstalling" - from what interface?

Try a manual uninstall (involves going into the registry). Sorry, I'm too lazy to link to it as people ask the same thing over and over, but its only the EA support site.

Did the game ever work for you?

And unless youre desperate to play, wait for the next patch, you could get very upset trying to solve the problem.

I had this problem with FEAR, as stated above, a manual uninstall might be you're only choice.
