  • Why does my distant terrain look crap?

    I have my Anisotropic Filtering set to 16x High Quality with Full Trilenear, and yet, still, my distant terrain in BF2 looks crap. Please help.

    Below is a link to a picture of my distant terrain

    Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.


    Im desperate!! I have an X850XT, it shouldn't look like that.

    Its ok. Not amazing, but not bad. Are all your other settings on high?

        Well yeah, EVERY setting is on high I know somebody with an X800XT PE, and theirs looks better, but they have 2GB of ram, and an external sound card. (and theirs is only AGP)

          I doubt that hardware would make any difference at all to the ingame appearance.

                And plus, note the blurry distant terrain.

                  Its the dust on Karkand. Try getting a screenshot on another map and showing us so we can see more clearly what you are talking about. A good map would be Dalian Plant.
