1.3 download difference?

i read on one of these threads somewhere that downloading the full 1.3 patch from fileplanet works better than the full 1.3 patch from EA.. is this true?! like the person said that the patch from EA crashes while the fileplanet patch works.. feedback please?

also my system specs:
p4 3.0 gig 530j on intel 915 g chipset
1 gig pc3200 ram
6600 gt pci-e
91.31 official nvidia drivers
ingame settings med/low
sound settings: software / low

i can play for like 20 minutes, then comp freezes and goes to blue screen saying i have problem with nv4_disp.dll ... anyone know the problem to this?

It is a problem with the Nvidia displaydrivers. Try reverting back to previous drivers.

All the patches are the same, just go with one. As for the drivers, try using drivercleaner then reinstall the newest drivers.

before installing the 91.31 drivers, i used drivercleaner pro.. im not sure if i used it right? im supposed to.. uninstall, then run drivercleaner, select nvidia, and press start.. then install the new drivers? am i suppose to reboot anywhere inbetween?

anyway.. i used cleanmem to optimize my mem, and i was able to play for a good 2 hours before the blue screen popped up again.. could that mean its something with my ram? i thought 1 gig was enough.. =P

No it is nothing with your RAM, like I said that is a Nvidia driver error. nv4_disp.dll is your Nvidia Display device driver file.

There is a readme that comes with Drivercleaner, read that, it will tell you how to use it, and yes there should have been some restarting in there...

so would anybody know what drivers are the best for 6600 gt pci-e 128 mb for 1.3 patch? so far ive tried only official nvidia drivers:

91.31 -- works for an hour or two after doing clearmem
84.21 -- freezes at start of map
77.77 -- freezes at start of map
77.76 -- works for the longest without doing clearmem but doesnt let me play my other games.

please help!

Not for me, my game always would crash before it even started when i had the EA 1.3 patch, i tested it twice. Then when i got it from fileplant, it starts working fine.
