video option tab

I am looking for what exactly each option does in the video option tab.

Terrain, Effects, Geometry, Texture, Lighting, Dynamic shadows, Dynamic light, texture filtering...

I usually play with everything on medium but saw some screen shots that looked much better and much worse than mine.

I know this is kind of a dumb question but I cant seem to find any info on it...

LOL! been to that sight a long time ago... forgot all about it =)
thanks for the refresher though

why is the dynamic shadows linked to the lighting? If I turn the lighting to low the dynamic shadows turns off...
