i love how those in favor of base raping always find some way to justify it. Baseraping has nothing to do with how good or bad the opposing team is. Baserapers go straight to the locked flags and keep going back the entire game. It's like clockwork, you kill them, they respawn, grab a vehicle and come back for some more cheap effortless kills. The funny thing is that you never seem to see them at an actual flag. That would mean doing some work

The occasional base rape is not really that big of a deal. It is when you repeatedly spawn at your base and before you can even move you are mowed by down some jerk whos just sitting on a locked spawn point with a tank. You can pick whatever class you want but you will lose that battle 99% of the time. Skill has nothing to do it. The guy sitting in the vehicle has all the advantage in the world. Anyone can sit there and blast people as they spawn. Seriously how is that fair. Its the same thing as shooting fish in a barell. Those kills IMO are the cheapest and players who do this repeatedly are nothing but a drag on the game.

Ahhh.. it's always a never-ending disagreement over this. The best part is the mudslinging that goes on, OMG U NOOB, U SUCK CUZ U GET BASERAPEZ!!! Just give it up, neither side will convince the other that they are right. For those who dislike it, find a server/clan that doesn't allow it and have fun. For those who like it, keep pubbing.

then it's your there fault.
there are 14 nice counter tackticks to stop or avoid baseraping/spawnraping.

Really people who whine about baseraping or spawnraping just **** me off because most of those people think they are rambo

And of course you never played wake before.. That IS Spawnraping J10'S And oppenent has a carrier isn't a good idea..

yea i dont camp to kill i go take the vehicles, such as planes and choppers, and i have to kill who needs to be killed but i dont base rape, Im admin of the EA UK RANKED SERVER [BEAST] and who ever base rapes is kicked my rule is such as wake island the opposing team must get at least 2 flags before the planes can go over the carrier, its just plain sense for a good game.

I usually play on servers where baseraping of the main uncap is not allowed. tbh Baseraping sucks. it also seems to me that most 'high rank' players go on one team and can kill the enemy pretty easy. (not saying all low ranks are crap, heck some privates are better then Majors and what not). But spawnraping on the otherhand is just low. sitting at a obvious spawn point, for example the obvious ones around karkand with a PKM is just cheating IMO.

What stay below deck, no we want to get off the damn carrier asap so we dont get arty or our planes, choppers blown up by the j10's so that is a foolish idea my friend it would make the game even more useless than it des with baseraping.

no in the first 10 seconds are the most crucial, u need to take off asap and get a base whilst they are all waitin for planes at the airbase.

Baseraping is poor gamesmanship, plain and simple. No chance for the guys being raped, and no challenge for the guys doing the raping.

As stated, this is just a game.

No easy solution that I can see. However, I do think the non-cap spawn areas should be protected from all incoming enemy fire to at least allow re-spawning and adequate time to run for cover or get a jet off the ground.

BF2 have squads!!!
most servers have VOIP...work together and become better in taking out armor/team work etc etc.

Or a squad leader is breaking true the basecampers corridor and squadmembers can spawn on him.
Its so easy.

You know what really ****s up the immersion? Spawn camping. Fact is, each base only has a limited amount of spawn points. When you have a team that zerg-rushes into the uncaps to post players at every uncap spawn location, you know that ****'s lame.
Spawning with a countdown and a view of the sky is ********. But then the 1337 guys who like farming points like that will say, "just spawn somewhere else," or,"just spawn as anti-tank." When a gun is aimed at every possible spawn location, or even 50% of them, you don't have much chance of making it very far.

yeah i hate when people whine about this. Im not saying wait at all the spawn points and kill them as soon. But your team should be allowed to use armor and treat it as a normal base. I dont know why some serveres kick for baseraping
