okay, this is where i have a major problem.

you know those great starting bases where on the map they have the red circle over there them. well if you are the oposing team you can not take the base over, so there is no need to camp out there and just rape everyone that respawns. I think others call this stat padding.

i dont mind a good game between teams, but when you do this, you turn a lot of the newer players and even some of the older players off form wanting to play.

Lets try to keep the play fair.

You will not find the answer you are hoping for here. 95% player "Base Rape" cause that is the only way they play. Call me crazy, but I don't find playing the game that way is fun.

....but, who cares about fun when you can have 0wn4g3 L33T P01n7Z? Cause the more points you have the more 1ee7 you get, and who cares if 80% of those points are from sitting at a corner and blindly firing their PKM at the flag? Man! thats M4|) Sk111z!

Try to find a server that hosts the game you wanna play.

whats fun for some isnt for others, maybe you should play a more simple game like shoots and ladders, a game where nobody loses. unfortunatly for you, this is not that kind of game, we are not going to have fun the whole time we are playing, thats just how war works.

Base rape can be fun and it can suck major a$$, ive been on both ends of the spectrum. Ive seen some good servers go emprty real fast cause of this.

If you can`t push your way out of your base from the start and allow the enemy to push you back........then you deserve to get raped

It`s like this

If your getting raped in your own un-cap it`s your own fault........

If it is the only flag you have left,then you let the enemy push you back then you deserve it.
If you have other flags that you can spawn at and you still choose to spawn at the rear,still your fault. Get your ass on the front line and help your team instead of camping for vehicles.
If you didn`t get you fav vehicle at the start.....tough ****

while this is true, someone needs to get the vehicles so the enemy doesnt, and someone also needs to defend the commander assets. in the carrier scenario you can always spawn under the deck to not get spawncamped. theres always an option, and thats what ****es me off the most about no base rape servers.

A good commander can handle the base if he`s paying attention.

a good commander doesnt defend a thing, he uses the engineer kit, and he commands constantly, he doesnt have time nor the means to defeat a whole special forces squad.

I hate base raping. Despise it. But I won't bitch/whine about it because its so prevalent throughout the BF community that it'd be impossible to change. Sort of like getting people to stop waiting on planes to spawn... not gonna happen. Anyways, if I see the enemy owns all flags and they start this crap, I just do everything I can to go take a flag. Instead of trying to fight against the guys in your base, avoid them. Get away from them and go capture a flag. Get one of your squad leaders to move to an out of the way location so people can spawn on him instead of the uncap base. It's not like they can take it.

The ones that I hate more then anything are the people that camp uncaps constantly, even before all the flags are taken. Oh and for whoever said it..
This is a game. Not war. I'm in a warzone where people really die. Don't ever try to make it out like BF2 or any other game is comparable to real life. It's not. It's a game.

heres the thing, whos getting base raped? its the group of guys holding e waiting for thier jet/attack helicopter. shouldnt these people (who have cover right next to them in the case of a carrier) be base raped, i mean their just standing there! this community needs to stop feeling sorry for these people, they care more about getting thier vehicle then helping thier team or survival. the base rapers are helping thier team on the other hand, they are keeping the enemy from having the support weapons, getting tickets, and causing general havok at the enemy base, this all helps the team.

now lets look at a base rape scenario that hurts ones team. wake island, china, they have our airbase, there is absolutly no reason to base rape in that scenario.

a game of... war. its not a game of hop skotch. its not the sims, there are win conditions set, and rules of engagment.

you dont like people base raping you? spawn elsewhere, get on the essex, or even better, HIDE!

Base rapeing has been around since 1942. It comes in diffrerent forms, rather your in a tank, helo, or a sniper up on the hill trying to get some points. Its apart of the game. At the end of the day blowing up a tank before it has a chance to leave is alright in my eyes. I don't see how thats wrong if you put some C4 on a tank and wait for it to cross the bridge on Ghost Town before pressing the button.

I don't care to be raped, I've been raped. I stick it out. Way I see it if my team wasn't good enough to hold the bases, and get pushed back then they deserve it. Not only that how else is the opposing team suppose to win if they have to let the other team move out, which in most cases NEVER happens. 90% of the time I am kicked from SF servers for killing a clan guy in his main base that insist on either standing near the AA gun, or being on it firing at me. So when servers allow it, I do it... Most of the time rape doesn't go on if you've got a few bases, because theres no one at your base for the other team to rape other then like I said those tank whores.

Theres a few maps like Wake Island, that the US team is usually raped by those J-10s. It wouldn't be so bad if the J-10 could be effectivly shot down, but a average pilot knows how to even advoid the ESSEX's missile. So yeah that map is asking to be raped. If they want to fix it, they should give the US one or two starting bases on the Island itself. I really don't agree with the planes rapeing especially the J-10 as unbalenced is it is. I am fine with it as long as its due to us losing, but at the beginning of the game nah the other team needs to be able to take off.

And no matter what, it's still a game. I'm in Iraq, where there is no "respawn". Don't try to compare them.

well, i see where this is goin, so it is alright to just rain arty down all game long, i hope i dont see some of you out there on the battle field.

i have played this game form the very beginning, and i must say this is the worse it has ever been. but as you here on thiis thread see it camping and base raping is perfectly fine.

as it has been said let the games begin.

also in real war, which i have been to, the little jumping over a 50cal or a m16 burst and not getting killed, lol, a 50cal can miss its mark from almost 3-6 feet and still kill the intending target.

I know what your saying i have been there my self, as for the no respawn thing. i have seen many marines die at the hand of the enemy.
