Crashes when there are a lot of sounds...

Well i can play for a little while as long as there are no tanks or gernades being blown up in my face but when there are lots of guns firing and gernades being blown up, the screen just freezes and everything leaves like sort of a weird trail kind of. It freezes for like 3 seconds and then i can continue to play. It's very annoying! I tried setting the sound settings on all possible confgs but it still does the same thing. See the pictures...

thats called artifacting.

Caused by 2 things mainly. Graphics card is overheating or drivers are bad.

Try cleaning out you heasink on ur card. And reinstall the drivers or try a different version.

Specs would be ever so nice!

Yeah, artifacting is BAD. It happens, as others have said, with over-heating and bad drivers. Also, overclocking your video card can cause artifacting.

And yes, specs would make it easier to determine the cause.

well try rolling back the drivers. Or judging by that card it probaly is nackered as my mates does that when his card got old!

Might want to bump up the video card to 256? I'm not sure, I have 256 and it runs pretty well, never had 128 though. Sorry for the lack of help

You say that you crash when there are lots of sounds, I take it you have an onboard soundcard? Try updating your sound drivers or buy a new soundcard

how do i "bump" up to 256, do you mean buy a new video card? And yes i probably will buy a cheap sound card and see if that works.

ya, perhaps can try getting a new graphics card. seems alotta peeps geting the new 7K series cards. im gonna get it soon too. :)

Edit: I tried the sound driver update and it seems to have fixed the problem. And here I was thinking it was a video problem. I'll have to play with it some more to see if I can get it to repeat the freeze, but after playing for just a few minutes it hasn't occurred again. Thanks for the suggestions. This had been driving me nuts.

Update: still broke. I hope the next patch comes soon and fixes this.
