Connecting to account server speed?

When i try to connect to account server using my game name it takes like 5 min to connect but when i use one of my friends's account on my computer it take like 1 min tops to connect is there a way i can make it so mine is faster?

Thats bizzare.
Maybe a disk defrag? If you account details held on a badly defragmented part of the drive it could take a little longer, but 5 mins is way too long!!!

Maybe try emptying your server cache too! That could slow things up a bit!

mines like 5 secs and im in. maybe your far away from the account server? ur connection spped? ur ram? spped?

i have pentium 4, 2.40 ghz, 1 gig of ram, and cable internet, but like i said if i try to get into friends account from exact computer that i try to get into his goes faster. where do you go to empty server cache?

Try to clear out the server history in General.con , and DemoBookmarks in DemoBookmarks.con, open those files in notepad etc.
They are located in: Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\YOURPROFILE

Remember to back up the files before you edit them incase something goes wrong.

Reduce your number of favorites, and get rid of any servers that don't exist anymore, the red ones. I did that and it reduced my time greatly.

What he ^^ said. When you connect to the account server, your game also gathers game info for every single server that is listed in your favorites tab (even if it isn't actually green like it's one of your favorites). If a server is offline or whatnot, it takes a bit before it gives up and displays it as red. If you have a more than a couple red servers in that list it is going to take you quite a while to log in every time.
