I know Blitz, I don't usually review frags video but I make exceptions too. Likewise with Duck and Cover... The people who aren’t in it for just the footage or "ego pumping" if you will. But those who take time in the editor, to make it a creation to be proud with, that's worth my respect.

And secondly blitz, because you are a good talented person. I recognised the effort and dedication you put into this along the development and it's one thing those other frag monkeys will never impress me with their "ownage" windows movie maker skills.

P.S. I'd rather not get into one of Jackass' patented forum feuds, so excuse me if I ignore any talkback from now on. Please feel free to bash my movies but I certainly don't appreciate being criticized for helping people, thankyou.

Sorry so late, but awesome vid, man!! I don't think the effects were over used at all. Pure eye candy and I loved it.

Am I biased 'cuz I saw my name in the credits? Maybe. But I also know that I enjoyed it before I saw the credit roll.

Forgive me Blitz if I did not explain the overuse of effects, I would say the radical blur is the most guilty of this.
Throughout the movie I felt that I was trying to unscramble the image. For example on some of the shots, by the time the picture had de-blurred, you killed somebody then it when blurry again and I kept missing predicting footage up to that kill, which is the most important stuff!
Strategy, tactics, methods, etc. Rather than just showing us the standard point and click nature of FPS, which is particularly bad in Bf2 being that is has bullet deviation, but adventurous in the way that BF2 has such an open environment for planning ambushes.
(forgive me I’m not experienced in frag movies but I thought that was what frag movies were all about)

The amount of blur is right but it is overused on fast footage, and when every fast clip shown has the same effect it can become stale. Besides on a game with so much text litter I didn't think it looked very neat. Not as neat as just speeding up the footage with standard motion blur. Then the text would not get blurred (not be traced on the screen) but the picture would have a less smudged look unlike that with video FX filters, and a more sped up feel, which I thought would have been ideal.

There’s plenty of stuff in the manual to guide you too making these effects.

Slightly offtopic, but I'd like to clarify what I espect and want from a fragmovie. As an answer on Sir.Xalias' question; (what fragmovies are all about).

When I see a real good fragmovie, I get the sudden urge to start bf2. No matter in what mood I am, I just want to own, just like the player in the fragmovie.
Fragmovies should give you some sort of adrenaline-boost. Imo.

The only bf2-fragmovie that managed to do this to me was Duck & Cover (I love redux' skills, that dude is fantastic. Also check his stunts out in Stuntman Arena from CaptivA).

This movie, blitzwartank, didnt give me that adrenaline-rush feeling, but that doesnt matter. I enjoyed it, like an 'normal/regular' bf2 movie.

I'm not gonna make another frag movie, ever again.

Also in this movie, I'm not trying to show my uber-l33t infantry skill like Redux one. But just trying to show the effects which I had just learned in Vegas. :)

If I still got time, I may consider in making a story kind of bf2 movie.

The effects are too much, but there is one effect that i really, really liked.. The zooms in the corner, and sometimes in the middle of the screen..
for some reason i thought that was pretty awesome

I thought it was a boring movie splattered with random visual effects which served no real purpose. But as the author said he was just messing around in Vegas :P
