this guy is australian and has gotten a legit 9.25 ratio
I think it depends entirely on your definition of 'legit'. I mean, really, 9.25:1? Not many people can do that in a tank, much less with assault rifles. For every time you die you kill nine people? If you have somewhere around a 4:1 with ARs you'd practically be a demigod (assuming you have enough time with them - simply killing four people and dying once isn't a big enough sample), but 9.25:1? Unless you have an entire retinue of medics following you around 24/7 that may well be impossible. Because, fact is, in BF, you're gonna die at some point, through forces beyond your control (spawn campers, arty, tanks, hidden claymores, etc.), which will bring your average down, and that's not including your deaths via regular gunfights and flag capping/defending duties where you often get naded. I don't care how much of a crack shot you are, your guns still deviate like everyone else's and there will be times you lose gunfights based on that fact alone. If someone has a KDR with one weapon like that I can't help but call shenanigans. Somebody's probably been shooting red soldiers through a fence, methinks...
'Excellent' is a hazy point.. it depends on how the person plays. I've seen nubs with crap aim get a KDR of 2.5 because they prone spam and prone jump. In the account that i posted, i never once intentionally prone exploit/spammed, or pronejumped in an infantry battle. For that type of player who doesn't exploit the game like that, IMO a KDR of >3 is excellent. For someone who does exploit that way, a KDR of >5 is excellent.
ORLY?
That's probably a reasonable assessment. You'll find the majority of players have an assault rifle k-d ratio of below 1.
My assault rifle ratio hovers around 1.45, which isn't too bad considering I regularly had to put up with reading "come play on the ground and I'll own you, you ***** jet whore" and other nonsense... Too many overly vocal noobs presume because you're in a jet often, you can't hold your own on the ground...

Yeh, some guy was abusing me when i was gunning in the chopper and saying i must be terrible on foot..Today my KDR fell significantly, because i was playing against some guys from '_dn' they are also australian and on par with the best infantry players in the world.. I need to own more PizzaHut noobs

He has done every part of that legitimately. Within server and EA rules..
Then, like I said, he must be followed around by medics 24/7. His most played kit is medic and I'll be willing to bet the rest of his clan/buddies' are as well, meaning they probably have a squad of 6 medics going at once which can make one's stats semi-inaccurate. Either that or he found the 24/7 Karkand Special Olympics server and isn't sharing the IP with the rest of us.

I've noticed that alot of people (including myself) rate people's infantry skill at a glance by their assault rifle kill to death ratio. I think this is because assault rifles are accurate and balanced and able to be used in nearly every situation.
KD ratio mans nothing. Performance depends on map, kit, weapon, targets etc.
An AT soldier is going to have a much lower kd ratio. Does this make him the worse player than the assault guy?
