    How far have we come?

    Just a quick thought..

In the 10 months or so I have been playing this game I have used 2 characters. I started another after my very noob , very drunk friend played a game, winning me the purlple heart and very very long death streak, shaming me into starting again. Anyway looking at the stats of both characters, after both having about the same points, i was suprised to find that the earlier character had the better stats and more awards.

I wonder if my skills are slipping, or are there less noobs to kill?

Have the changes in gameplay made the game harder overall?

    Any other thoughts?

Maybe you aren't as good at the game as you thought, and your earlier account was just a fluke? Also, if it just took a drunk friend playing for a bit to completely ruin your stats something tells me you didn't have a very high global score anyway.

I started another account for one of my friends to play on for the same reason.
My stats arn't worth bragging about but thought he might as well earn things for himself.

I think it's harder to kill someone because theres less new players in game. Most of us are playing quite long now and know all these tricks to keep our lives in bf.

As with all things, anyone within one standard deviation of the average will tend to have unstable/varying performance, with the lower portion of the bell curve being regularly inferior and the upper portion being consistently better than everyone under their own percentile. Unless you make a serious effort to improve your performance, you will most likely remain in the average range, but that's nothing to be ashamed of: what matters is how much enjoyment you get out of your experience playing the game, though I agree that repeatedly getting killed can affect that...

My very first game in BF2 for ranks had me in a M1 Tank running about the square gunning down 30 noobs who did not know how to get out of the way.

            That was a year ago.

Try getting a tank to the square intact today.

you'd be inpressed of how the number of nooblets have increased after the new patches. man im starting to think noobishness is a life style and not a players skill level
