Any step-by-step help ?

I recorded some in-game with FRAPS, but I want to compress it into a normal movie format cause the FRAPS files are way too big.

So I downloaded VirtualDub and I tried to compress a 20 secs. video into Divx format. It tells me an error saying that the Codec is not acceptable. So I try to compress the 20 secs. FRAPS recorded into MPEG. It did, but when I look at it , it's 90mb big !!!

So why all those ppl who make ultra-high-resolution videos of BF2 , 10 mins long, has a file of 70 ~ 80 mb, and I have a mediocre quality video 20 secs long and it's 90 mb big !!???

where's the problem ? I tried to use WMM, but it just screw up the quality.

there are settings in wmm to change the quality. try messing with those a bit, it might help, other than that, i dont know what to tell you

WMM screws up the quality. Use another program such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas.

Fraps....Use Battlelauncher

DivX .... try standerd res in divX 800 x 600. 640 X 480.. Doesnt like different screen res.

Get proper editing software

TFOT just said WMM because more then likely he doesnt have VEGAS or Premier and you can get a decent quality out of WMM lol

I use windows movie maker, no problems. I took a 30 second clip it was 250mb, uploaded to WMM and came out at 7mb with good quality.
