My weapons just turned rainbow colored. Someone on my server was nice enuff to tell me that my graphics card is overheating...so how can i check the temperature? Summer just started and this is a bad way to start it

I used to get that..

1. Turn off your PC
2. Leave it for 10 mins (5mins MIN)
3. Touch a radiator
4. Open your case.
5. Push your graphics card firmly into the slot
6. Reboot your pc with the side off

Should be fixed, If not get a desktop fan and point it into your case.

What video card are you using?

For me, I right click the desktop, click "properties," "settings" tab, "advanced" button. Then I have a tab for my video card. Once I click that, there is a "Temperature Control" option. I have an NVidia card.

I've had rainbow colored boxes (like the log-in box) but that was from alt-tabbing. I either alt-tab another time, or I restart BF2.

If not get a desktop fan and point it into your case.

Yeah, extra fans help even if they aren't in the computer. AC is nice too, especially if your computer is on all the time.

I hope ur right...british man of science...I'll just use the fan..last time i opened my case i accidentaly ripped out my harddrive and tossed it aside becuz i thought it was the disk driver..christ that was retarded but i was 9 then...

You might try something like SpeedFan; "SpeedFan is a freeware program that monitors voltages, fan speeds and temperatures in computers with hardware monitor chips. SpeedFan can even access S.M.A.R.T. info for those hard disks that support this feature and show hard disk temperatures too, if supported."
