bf2 installs fine.. patching fails..

Since the 1.2 patch in december.. my bf2 will not patch .. i get "patching failed" messages.. no further explanation is given... i just downloaded the 1.3 patch... it also fails.. i uninstall bf2.. delete everything.. reinstall.. and then patch to 1.3 ... after getting 6 or 7% in.. it says "Patching Failed"... ive tried installing to both of my drives... neither work.. ive reformatted several times.. nothing..
i've tried updating every driver that i can find for my machine.. nothing..

ive attached my dxdiag for my specs...
I've contacted EA's tech support.. but they dont help me one bit... tell me to restart.. and thats about all.. lol...

Have you tried to install full 1.3 patch over vanilla bf2? If not, do so. If yes, download another full 1.3 patch if the one you have is corrupted.

I always had this problem patching, since I bought the game after patches had been released. Here's one probable solution, but try anything else first.

Set up an alternate admin account on Windows XP, and try installing and patching from there. Also, if that works, play it from there. It might not be what you want to hear, but I could never get the game to run from my default profile and that did work.

ya ive tried all of the above solutions.. nothing works.... thanks for the help though... any other ideas?
