Since the 23rd of May my life has been BF2less. 1.3 caused such bad lag that it was absolutely unplayable.
After trying every thing that people recommended, I was ready to give up until I read a post on here entitled 'It Works'.
Anyway, it was a long a drawn out process of defragging, uninstalling and downloading all patches and installing and restarting etc etc. I added one last step which was to go to Microsoft's site and update my XP with everything available.
So I logged on last night and played for 4 hours and it was perfect. No glitches, zero lag and I am sooo happy.
If you have issues with 1.3 and have tried everything, look for the 'It Works' post and add in the last bit with the Microsoft site and you might get lucky.
Lastly thanks to the original poster. You rule!!
