SF Serial Issue
I have a problem with the CD key of Special Forces. I did the following:
1. I installed BF2.
2. I installed Special Forces.
3. I installed the full 1.3 patch.
When I wanted to join BF2 servers, I noticed a message saying something like "Invalid CD key." I know that there can be problems with the keys when more than one patch is installed [BF2 > 1.1 (SF) > 1.3]. So I retyped the original keys (without "-", of course) into the registry entries. Then I installed the full 1.3 patch once again and BF2's key was successfully encrypted.
The key of Special Forces, however, remained as the same number I typed into the registry and did not become encrypted. Therefore I can play BF2, but not SF! :hmm:
I tried several things like a file called BF2SFCDkeycheck.exe (don't know the exact name) and copied it to the folder it must be placed in. Unfortunately, when I wanted to launch the file, nothing happened. The key just stayed the same.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Can you tell me how the key must be encrypted? Why doesn't BF2cdkeycheck.exe work?
