i got this ribbon by being a gunner in an attack chopper. obviously the pilot was good with the missles to get 13 kills = 13 kill assists for me.

If that's for real, then it'd be easy to rack up points... as long as your teammates realize they can hold E to enter a moving vehicle and not get hurt.

So many people jump out of the way or get run over. I've also noticed that many drivers stop when picking me up, which is completely unecessary, and dangerous.

truthfully i didnt realise i got this ribbon, i didnt aim for it, was an 'accidental' ribbon. and u definitely dont get driver ability from picking somebody up...
the req for crew service ribbon is 13 driver ability or assist and 5 kills. so be in the same vehicle as your gunner n help your gunner clock 13 kills and u, try to get 5 kills and u can get that ribbon. easy? forget about the ability req if u dont understand it becos its either ability or assist and its easier to get assist than ability.

Hi,

I got it yesterday night, so....
I was driving an armor in Karkland. 24 kills for me, and around 20 for my gunner if I remember well (more than 13)....and that's done.

no, kills with the weapons on the vehicle. (Tank cannon or MG)

HERE IS THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER!

You HAVE to be in a HELO! not a tank, not a jeep, not a boat. a HELO!

Your partner has to get 13 kills. Whether you're the driver or gunner. The other person has to get 13 kills. And then you have to get 5 kills.

And then 1 driver special ability point... You receive these points while someone that is in the vehicle with you receives combat or team points

You do NOT need a driver ability assist for EITHER of the Crew ribbons. To get driver kill assists somebody else in your vehicle must get a kill. I have gotten both my awards withOUT ability assists. It should say ability OR kill assists, because either one will count towards the 13.

As for getting the ribbon, fly a chopper, gun in a bomber, or stay in an APC or Tank as gunner. After you get 13 kill assists you can get out and go get 5 kills any way you want.

Always got that ribbon easily in the attack heli... if you can't get it otherwise, try that.

Sounds like sitting in the back of an APC in Karkand might be the ticket.
