    yep everything he said to do in the tutorial, I doublechecked everything, and have dne it over and over again but still no luck

        When I set up the download for the selected area, it shows up as a 40 MB download, but when its finished downloading, its only a few mbs. Like 7 or 8.

          the 40mb is unzipped ... its a stupid system
          packed its only about 10 mb

              hmm ... but ive another problem:
              i see the tif image in the tool - but when i export it nothing changed on the heightmap so it doesnt export

                  You said to write "NCOLS" + "NROWS" in the width, that is what got my error... you cant put words in PS for a hight/width.

                    lol - the numbers after that ... so not NCOLS - write "2156" or wahtever your file says =)

                      Heh, I didnt get that either.


                      EDIT: LOL I didnt know I was suppposed to open that hdr file in notepad. You should add that to the tutorial.

                          Haha, yeah I should have been a little more clear on that... :laugh:

                          I've updated the tutorial with better instructions, and a screenshot of the .hdr file open in wordpad (notepad doesn't get the formatting right).

                          I hope everyone can do it now! Let me know if you still run into trouble.

                              - how far did you get? what did you try?
                              - what program gives you the error?
