Ea Position

Does anyone have an idea on how the EA position score/points work, and how i can get more points there?. DO i have to only play on ea servers?

you have to play on "ranked" servers. you can filter for those in the server browser.

Can you tell if a server is ranked or not when you're already ingame?

Say.. your friend gives you an IP. You connect. You're in the game. Is there something that tells you?

If everyones a private then it's probably unranked. If you see ranks above players heads and on the score board then it's ranked. Hth's.

i thought points add up like team + kills x 2 = final score
so like 30 team + 10 heals + 10 kills = 60 points ?
i thought this , but my score goes up so slow ?
8000 is taking a LONG time (lol)

The x2 is for the winning commander for points gained while in that position.

8000 points is just a couple of weeks of good play. Play as a medic or support to get the extra team points for heals/revives and resupplies.

Just pay attention to those that need healing or resupplies. Dont be the noob thats runs past (or away from) those that need your support.

Also, cap the flags. The more flag caps, the more points. This is where I made my mistake starting out in BF2. Coming from ctf league play with bf1942, I was on defense most of the time, so I was staying back defending what we already had in bf2 since I was playing with my team members. I ended several rounds with under 10 total score while those attacking other flags were 50 and above. Five rounds later and I have about 50 points while they are all over 250. Ten rounds and I am around 80 something and they are already over 500 points plus...this adds up fast.

So, cap the flags, heal/revive your team, resupply your team.
