after 1.3 patch game crashes 1 out of 2 games now..

windows xp and bf2 and patch 1.3 thats it. no changes to pc.

bf2 is the worst written code for a game I have ever seen
and Ive played hundreds of online games.

none of my other games EVER crash..EVER.

an8 fatality 3800/64 with 3GB ram using ati x800xl/256 pci-e

good riddance bf2, im done with you for good now. back to games
that actually work.. ea/dice are the only ones I have ever seen where
the game actually gets worse the more patches they release.

Yah, the new patch makes me crash like hell too, mainly when maps load up and it crashes to my desktop. When im in game I get connection errors and most of the time the servers crash. It isn't your computer though it's EA's garbage patch, but they should be releasing a new one soon.

My thing is crashing to desktop just as I hit "join game".
ANd the biggest daily occurence.."there is a problem with your connection", this is up to 3-4 times daily.

Very frustrated with CTDs here as well. Happens on some servers a lot, like the >NN< clan server, which I used to like until it started crashing like every third round.

I find it only happens on servers allowing players with excessively high pings. Those capped at around 150 seem to be CTD-free for me.

Still, DICE has apparently fixed it so we'll wait and see.

I've had it happen a few times - really not that big a deal though.

On the plus side, my login time has been cut to seconds since the patch.

in my experience a corrupt install ie downloaded patch or a iffy serial can cause server crashes. a friend of mine bought a serial from ebay against my advice , freshly installed the game and what ever server he joins he crashes. so if im playing a server run by fools ill call on him to end it lol

I'm getting all of the above, but also crazy stuttering throughout a round. It can be towards the end, middle, or beginning. I've even lowered my video settings since the patch to combat it, but it still does it.

Did you know that there are servers that run at 1.0? RANKED servers? So I dont get it, you guys just give up. While you can rever to the last well working patch, play and still have fun, CTD free, until a good solid patch comes out. I understand that servers have to compete, so I cant say much about them, but you, as a player, have a choice! So instead of bitching, why dont you just try another patch!

100% agree, it seems like those dumbasses in the development studies cant produce a patch which fixes things without adding new bugs in the game, pathetic to be honest.
