Is it possible to play COOp with a friend ?

I just wanted to know if there's a way that I or my friend create a COOP game , then the other person join in.

I know in bf1942 , we could do that and play with bots, but is this possible to do this in bf2 withtout having to rent or buy a server ? Just do it like this, with our comp

I have no routor, no local network, just my comp.

With patch 1.3 you do it pretty much the same as with BF42; just start a listen server in co-op mode. With earlier patches you need to use a singleplayer game as the server. Please do a search on coop or co-op.

Sure, if you both download the modified maps.
