How can u have s players in total on same team + bots

Hi guys. I want to create a local server and then give a friend the IP to connect to so that there are only 2 of us on the server, but then I also want to be able to set it so that we are both on the same team, just to play around, talk to each other and teach him how to play. Firstly, is that possible to do and if so, how?

Secondly, is it possible to add bots to the local server I created with me and my friend and a number of bots?

If you are running patch 1.3 then you can start your local server in "co-op" mode and if you are both on the same local network you don't need the ip since the server will show up in the browser. If you are running an earlier patch you can just start a singleplayer game and your friend can join by ip. The new co-op mode puts all humans on the same team by default; if you use a singleplayer server one of you can just switch teams if necessary.
