Weird probs after 1.3 install

I am sorry if this has been posted, as I am new to the forum...

After I installed 1.3 I cant seem to get ANY server under a ping of 150. Nothing has changed as far as my hardware and I used to always be the lowest ping player on a server (under 20). I have a 3.0 Mbps DSL conxn - and now I cant play a single game and havent been able to since 1.3 came out.

Here is the weird part...I uninstalled and reinstalled BF2 and before I installed 1.3 I tried connecting with same issue ..no servers were under 150

I would like some help on this as I am at a lost I even tried calling EA support ...which was a joke.

Please lets not waste time with the usual ...are your drivers up to date stuff...everything is as it should be ...well except for the game performance.

Patch 1.3 probably to blame. 1.3 toally destroyed my game, CTD, unable to join servers etc etc. Eventually I had to uninstall whole game and reinstall back to 1.2. I'm not bothering with 1.3 now.

Thanks Trooper, I know that would be the most logical step and something I will inevitably end up doing - Its rather annoying - when I called EA support some clown actually tried telling me my X-Fi was not part of the supported hardware....I was like, "uh....BF2 was the 1st game to offer X-Fi options...."

Oh well, I will try this again - I really miss playing BF2
