BF2 Don't run properly

i have a friend who just installed BF2 plus the v1.3 patch and when he tries to run BF2 the "EA Games challenge everything" runs and then the screen would go black for a very very too long time and he has to restart computer to get back to desktop and still doesn't work. The computer meets all system requirements and anti virus and anti spyware is off. Even reinstalling the game and patch wouln't work. Can anyone Help?

try renaming the intro movie files so it loads straight to the login screen,

$:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

rename; Dice.bik > Dice1.bik
EA.bik > EA1.bik
Intro.bik > Intro1.bik

(you can rename them all to make it so that you have no bacground movies on your menu)
