    International On-Line Gamers Union

Untainted Information & News for Gamers by Gamers. Supporting Gamers rights within their game or games of choice through the backing & power of the Union membership, and expertise of the IOLGU leadership..

Membership by Game as individuals and/or Game Clan. The IOLGU supports every player of every on-line game played today and tomorrow.

The on-line gaming community is one of the largest groups in existence today, yet it is fractured into many, many pieces with virtually no say about the games they play. The giant marketers of today's games see only dollars, pounds, and euro dollars, and they care nothing about what the Gamers wants, desires, or needs. Every aspect of on-line gaming is controlled by these large corporations, gaming news, reviews, forums, hardware, even the game studios that develop the games are controlled by these large game publishing giants. Quantity, not quality, so they shovel it out the door as fast as they can, and fix it later, if ever. We the Gamers spend Billions every year, and with all this money we are spending should come some respect, and one hell of a lot of Gamer power.

Until each genre, each game played on-line mend their community into a cohesive group, and become as one with all on-line games we will continue to get far less than we pay for. The IOLGU will be the glue of the on line Gamers world wide, and one day soon when we speak the big boys will have to pay attention.

The IOLGU would like to have a representative from each on-line game, an individual that is self motivated, can express himself verbally, and in writing. This of course can not be done in all cases, and is not necessary for any Gamer or clan to become a member of the IOLGU. If you do wish to become active within your Game of choice you will be needed in helping recruit and organize the Gamers and Clans of your game into a cohesive union of players who care about furthering the rights of all..

The IOLGU is each Gamers forum to have a say that will count for something, and have the support of thousands of fellow Gamers.

The IOLGU needs representatives who will play a vital role in recruitment of members, Clans of all On-Line Games, and other Players or People who would like to play an active role in the growth of this Union.

If You Are Interested in becoming a Member or Participant in the Union .... please contact me....... soupnazi@iolgu.com

Gamers must unite !! and a United Gaming Community will create an environment that the Voice of the Gamer... Cannot be Ignored !!

    Thanks !!

Was this post meant as satire? Gamers have all the say they need via their wallets. The last thing we need is another layer of bureaucracy between developers and gamers. Which, even if ever established (about the same odds as the planet being struck by a life-ending asteroid within the next 20 years), would only devolve into a corrupt, power-hungry, political organization. It would only be competing with review mags for kickbacks/bribes/advertising dollars to promote/endorse the game of the year, etc.

I prefer to let free market competition drive innovation and choice. There are no substantial barriers of entry for game development relative to say Operating Systems or gasoline. This is a solution to a non-existent problem. Eventually companies that listen to what people want will perform better than those that are arrogant and have no customer service.
