Game stats help for newbie

Hi, i just got this game today and have already been in lots of online battles including ranked servers. However, none of my stats have changed. It says 0 hours played and 0 for everything even though i have played loads today. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also, on the battlefield, how can you tell what rank everyone is?

Well, sometimes it takes a while for the stats to update

and when you look at the score board (Tab) you can see the ranks, you may have to right click and select players to see it though.

Dont rely too much on the online stat tracker websites. Quite a few of them dont even start tracking your stats until you get a certain amount of points. I think it's 100 or 500 something like that. BFHQ in game is where they should show up regardless of your points. It take even longer for everything to update on the weekend because more people play. Just give it some time.

no, what updates?
It has been a day and a half now and still no stats. + everytime i play a ranked server the game stats/summary when the round is finsihed never show up but they do on the normal servers.
Do you have to addd updates? and i have heard alot about a 1.3 patch or something but don't know what this is.

You're probably running BF2 1.0 (can't imagine servers till running it, much less ranked), but you're gonna have to go to ea's website to get the FULL 1.3 patch, it's about 400-500MB i think.

Install the patch then everything should be okay. If you can't get good speeds at EA's site, I would go to http://gamershell.com and do a search for BF2. The patch is also there and good speeds.
